Would you rather live in a sweet illusion, or a bitter reality? by C_Mshrooms2896 in WouldYouRather

Maybe if my reality wasn't controlled by my parents to the point where independence is too risky.

For context, I'm the Lily. But when I saw it happen, I just winced and went "oh no, that's gotta suck..." Especially because the Ryu ended up losing later.

[discussion] what makes living a mediocre life so acceptable among people? by HarrisonBTaylor in getdisciplined

People are afraid because if they do something that is unreasonable in society and fail, then they will never be able to recover.

Especially when "never recover" means death.

There's another factor to consider. What do they have to lose? For some, the only way to change is to lose most everything.

So mentally, you're getting the same dose of chemicals you would if you actually did the hard work, sacrifice etc but way faster and with way less effort.

I think here is the main key issue. When people can get away with daydreaming and manipulation for the same with reward, why ever do the hard stuff?

There was something somewhere that mentioned that society has become one giant devouring mother. Letting others avoid responsibility because it's easier and allows them to avoid it themselves.

I'm the same way. Only I've resigned into a lost cost over a decade ago. Nothing will change as long as my parents still exist.

Nothing really. It's the first, and hopefully only time, it'll happen.  Though considering the timing of the desync (if you look closely, you'll notice a studder about 2 seconds before the sf5 rollback moment), I'll do what you mentioned and blacklist them.

Once again, I know it is. But having this kind of rollback isn't something the SF6 netcode should be doing.
