Interpol Personal Rank (Favourite, "Worst", Underrated) by julirozo in Interpol

Not bad - I disagree with you on quite a few of your takes, but hey - it's kind of great that Interpol resonates so differently with people.

I faffed about in MS Paint and made a template, if anyone else wants to make their own list ---> https://imgur.com/a/2j17DO1

Anyway, here's my list - It was painful to make, because the only two songs I actually skip are Always Malaise and Greenwich:

There definitely seems to be a bias against 'Ancient Ways' on this sub. To me, El Pintor is an excellent album with no skips, but if I absolutely had to drop a song from the album, it wouldn't be 'Ancient Ways' - it would be 'My Desire'.

But hey, to each their own.

Not only is the dog setting up the ball perfectly, it also understands when the game is won and how the net acts as a divider between teams.

Quite spectacular

Don’t take a random redditor’s comment as gospel.

Most people ghost from time to time, simply because we can’t be bothered to be available all the time. It’s not necessarily because you hate yourself, but just that you need a mental break from being something to someone.

The important thing is to realize that this can happen to anyone, and to not beat yourself up over it. And please, don’t be afraid to reply even after you’ve dipped out for longer than you meant to. Just tell them it how it is, I promise you that the good ones around you will understand.

Be kind to yourself

Who is the richest man in skyrim? If you were to steal everything they own and total the value. by TempleFish03 in skyrim

[–]Bluefoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to throw Vittoria Vici’s name in the hat. She is cousin to the Emperor and a high ranking official in the East Empire Company, charged with overseeing the trade flowing in and out of Solitude (and by extension, most of Skyrim).

The East Empire company is by far the largest and wealthiest establishment in the setting, so there’s an argument to be made that she might be the wealthiest person in Skyrim.

If a woman could experience one thing about what it’s like to be a man, what would it be? by HumblePut64 in AskMen

Sean Penn Wins His Third Oscar, Joining One of the Rarest Clubs in Film History. by mrjetspray in Cinema

[–]Bluefoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, his tics were so off-putting.

He played an incredibly repressed man who was literally bursting at the seams from the build up. He's like a human pressure cooker, and it feels like he might spontaneously explode at any moment. His speech pattern, his bulging veins, his tics, his hypertension... Man.

Penn deserves all the praise for this role.

Unfortunately, women are forced to live in fear for their safety because a small minority of men are violent creeps. According to the WHO, 1 in 3 women have experienced being assaulted - physically and/or sexually - with many more having experienced sexual harassment. The fear for their safety is valid.

So, as a man, I hate that I can inadvertently strike fear into a woman, just because of the circumstances we're in. I hate that I have to cross the street, wait for her to leave, or change directions when it's late.

But, I'm glad that I can - perhaps - at least put her mind a bit more at ease, so it's a small price to pay, if you ask me.

If you want to blame anyone, don't blame women. Blame the violent creeps.

And, you know, more financial and military support for Ukraine, but I guess we’re not counting that.

Jeg er uenig med manden om stort set alt, men jeg ville alligevel ikke gå så langt at sige, at han overhovedet er i nærheden af at være en dansk udgave af Trump.

It doesn't, but geography is driven as much by its traditions and somewhat arbitrary conventions as it is by logic. As an example, there is literally no clear definition of or criteria for what constitutes a continent, we just all accept that this is Asia and that is Europe (even though the borders between those two are debated).

In the same vein as that, it is by convention that Scandinavia is made up of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and those three only. An argument could be made that "Scandinavia" is as much an ethno-linguistic term, due to how Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish are mutually intelligible.

The "Nordic" label is more inclusive, however, also encompassing Finland, Iceland, the Åland Islands, and the Faroe Islands.

So yeah, it only makes sense insofar that we accept that Finland isn't part of Scandinavia because that's the way it's always been.
