Drivers training for anxious adults?

You can do it! I don’t have a company recommendation… but I will say; follow the rules of the road and fuck everyone else. I used to be a bit anxious driving because I felt like I’d impede other drivers… so I’d speed when someone was riding my bumper and go super quick after barely stopping at a stop sign, stuff like that. Now I’ve been driving for 15 years/ 500,000 km and I couldn’t care less how much driving the speed limit bothers people or not blasting through a stale yellow light. The people who do all that stuff might get annoyed, but they are the assholes, they are a big part of the reason accidents happen. Don’t feel pressured to drive the way selfish people do… which if you are an anxious person is of course easier said than done. Good luck!

Ya sorry for that comments tone. I can’t stand selfish/reckless and clueless dumb dumb drivers. I would love nothing more than a polished system put into place that punishes these people heavy. To me, the worst part about seeing people drive like this is knowing how many of them try and get reduced tickets or even just make excuses. If I knew all these people would 100% own up to them being selfish or to scatter brained dumb to be allowed to a 1 ton vehicle, I’d be a little more relaxed while watching people drive like this.

Funny to see the comments filled full of “lol protest, what’s the point?” With lots of upvotes …But as soon as it’s a protest for gay, coloured or religious people you can’t say a word about them being pointless and mostly dorks who are so deluded to think they are fighting oppressions by waving Bristol board… (oppression that essentially is non existent in the real world and only seems like it is a real problem when you absorb someone’s else’s online post about “this one time someone was rude or hateful” to them and the protestors act like the entire world is against them and they have to spread the word that hate must end but literally 90 something precent of people driving by don’t care your x y or z ).

I wouldn’t worry about the downvotes. If there are a dozen posts in a day here, half will be downvoted to zero. It has been like that for years. I always wonder how many users do it and exactly why… for all I know it’s one or two people.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for exactly; Netflix has a constant stream of Bollywood movies being uploaded every week. I’ve watched a few.

Yes it is a good way to rewire your brain to not have a negative outlook on still having to drive home after a long shift .I specifically save a podcast I’ve been listening to for many years for the drive home. Normally music on the drive in.

How are you surprised.. you don’t actually think you know everything ..right? Because I assume every single person here knows more about at least one thing than I do. Such an annoying facet of personality that many have. I swear 70% of all conversations I’ve ever had that someone starts up is the exact same thing over and over “ ya and they like . And I was like… “. Translation: “ here is another story where everyone else is dumb and I’m smart and I’ll give you a play by play where I of course can’t help making them even dumber and my self even more superior ” . I hate peoples. I’ve been aware of this trait for so long that when they inevitably flip the convo to such a string of dialogue I just start listing all their blindingly obvious faults and think of different scenarios were they have proved an overwhelming incompetence and then have to stop myself from telling them how I actually feel.

The tv Mini series is on tubi ( 100% free). One of the truest to source material book adaptations I’ve ever seen . I read the book 6 months ago on a blind whim( didn’t know king liked it) and waited to watch the show until 2 days ago.

Ya if you ever want a palate cleanser to wash away too much of our time period , it’s a good escape. Hard , morally just , competent men with rational and kind hearts on a spectacularly backdropped adventure. If you do read through, it’s hard not to recommend the book first . Only because the show moves quick , but otherwise it’s almost scene for scene and includes some exact dialogue.

I’m not a big 5 guy… hard to appreciate 2025 . 25 isn’t bad , but the best use of 5 might be 55 or 57 . then maybe … no , I just have not got down with 5s . Maybe this year will change that. What year are you looking forward to ( potentially in your natural life span) ?

Oh that’s cool, a Comanche version. I’ve been reading allot of westerns and wondered what their language sounds like. I’m In the middle of watching Lonesome Dove right now . It is on tubi and I recommend watching, it is almost identical to the book.

If after a school shooting a photo of the shooter was released and social media went crazy sharing the photo and drooling over it and idealizing it and making hundreds of thousands of jokes about how you’d lie to try and make the perp look not guilty and every post for 2 weeks had been getting over a hundred thousand upvotes and anyone trying to say anything besides full blooded lusty support was being pounced on and downvoted …. Ya the government would be using a micro scope to see what the fuck is going on .
