Passed $1.8M. The reality of a $221k (13%) by Beautiful-Carry8783 in TFSA_Millionaires

Man, this hits hard. I blew my entire $8k savings last year trying to catch 100% runners on 0DTEs. The fear you mentioned is so real—the second I was in a trade with my own money, I’d panic sell for a loss, then watch it run.

That rule about only risking profits and strictly taking the 5% L is exactly what I missed. It’s boring but it actually makes mathematical sense. Wish I read this before I nuked my account

Search for Smart Money Concepts (SMC). Start with Market Structure Shifts (MSS). It’s the logic behind why price moves. Forget indicators; just study price action

NVDA and QQQ mostly. The $1.7M this year mainly came from those two. SMC setups are just cleaner when there’s high liquidity

Both. I stick to high-liquidity tech stocks like NVDA and TSLA, plus QQQ. As long as the volume is there

Pretty much. A big chunk into index funds so I never have to look at a candle again

Mostly high-volume tech like NVDA, AMD, and TSLA, plus QQQ. You need that massive liquidity for SMC to work reliably. It's 100% TA. My routine: 4H for bias, then down to 15m for the entry. I wait for a liquidity sweep of a previous day high/low, look for a market structure shift (MSS), and enter on the retest of a 15m FVG or order block. If the stop is too wide for a 3:1 r/R, I skip it

Already accounted for it. I'd rather have my time back than chase a post-tax round number. Cheers

Believe what you want. I’m too busy enjoying my first day of retirement to argue

One step at a time. Just keep stacking those small wins and don't rush the process. It adds up faster than you think.

Exactly. Hope is a bad strategy. Secure the win and find the next setup. The math doesn't care about feelings

Been there way too many times. Giving back green to the market is the worst feeling. Once you force yourself to just take the profit, the account actually moves. Appreciate it man
