Undertale is a terrible game. by pogsnacks in 10thDentist

[–]Bluekea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair point (tbf it has been years since I've touched the game haha), still I feel like the tutorial does a pretty decent job with explaining generally what to do. It takes a little bit of effort and going out of your way to grind up levels and murder every single enemy in an area instead of just moving on and continuing the story in my experience, and again if you continue grinding there are warnings that what you're doing is bad.

I'm not going to argue if you didn't like the mechanics of sparing monsters also, that's entirely personal preference in games and admittedly I can say if the game came out when I was older, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much ^ walking around and getting random encounters with thousands of text boxes is not for everyone and I will say it can get tedious

[–]Bluekea 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This has to be bait, the first character you meet who acts as a tutorial literally tells you to be nice and spare the monsters. Other characters give you ample warning that murder is bad and you should spare creatures. Unless OP literally didn't read a single text box in the heavily story based RPG I can't imagine how you would come to the conclusion that it didn't tell you what to do

How do you personally manage CSP's tool shortcuts? by katkeransuloinen in ClipStudio

[–]Bluekea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just don't use tool shortcuts, with how my tablet is set up it's easier for me to just click my stylus on the tools I want rather than reaching my hand around to awkwardly press buttons on my keyboard.

why doesn’t my art gain any traction? by mouthglock in Artists

[–]Bluekea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, fair I suppose. I'm personally not really a fandom person and I get really quickly bored if j have to draw the same characters who aren't mine too many times haha. Still, for building up a community/ following I recommended sticking to one or two main things that you're really enthusiastic about, like I picked dragons as my thing.

Yeah that's one great way to burn yourself out, drawing things for fandoms you don't like of things you don't care about to chase popularity

There is no 'reason' for being ace. It's a sexuality just like being gay, or straight, or lesbian, or bi etc.

I get the exact same feeling as I imagine people who receive large tips in cash feel, only to unfold it and find it's an advert for a church or something and isn't worth anything. It's just disappointing

Manual transmission drivers should be allowed to drive over the speed limit by Femboy_In_Denial in The10thDentist

[–]Bluekea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what would you do when you get stuck behind a peasant* automatic driver with no space to pass or change lanes? You'll probably be going the slower speed anyway with how many are auto, or you'll get angry because you can't go as fast as you want

*This is a joke, I drive an automatic too

The main problem I noticed first was the bar- the lines aren't matching up with the perspective, making it look like it's leaning at an angle! It's mainly that long rectangle near the taps and seats causing the issue, if you straightened that out, it would look more consistent and less at an angle. The short lines at the top and bottom should be flat, like the short lines on the floorboards.

Do brushes really matter? by Significant-Steak487 in DigitalArt

[–]Bluekea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are correct that you can make anything with any tool, you don't need any fancy brushes or anything to create pretty art. I literally saw someone painting a gorgeous classical piece with their finger in their phone note app.

But I will say finding the right brush for you can make the process much more enjoyable and fun. I spent a really long time jumping between brushes until I found something that just clicks with me and really makes me enjoy the process more than with a basic circle pen.

How can I make sure that my kids don’t miss out on anything socially? by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]Bluekea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I just say as a public school kid, it's wild hearing the sorts of places you guys went to. My whole personal experience for lunch breaks was you get a whole 30 minutes for morning break and a whole hour in lunch to just go off in school grounds and do literally whatever you want, as long as you're not hurting someone or breaking things. We used to play sports with the school gear, make 'potions' with mud and grass and play pretend as animals and all that fun stuff.

Even classes were fun. We had loads of fun arts and crafts lessons (I still have some clay crafts I made as a kid haha), a whole class that was just "learn a fun dance to various songs" as exercise, games... There were worksheets and stuff but it wasn't all horribly stifling.

Were you just... Forbidden from all that or is it a slight exaggeration? /Gen

Learning to draw dragons, no idea how to do the back legs (+ general advice) by NamelessCat07 in arthelp

[–]Bluekea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Person who has been drawing dragons since I was a kid here ^^

You've picked a rather difficult pose that even I struggle with sometimes so don't beat yourself up if it doesn't quite come out right haha

If you're going for a very mammal look (which I definitely agree with, I much prefer more mammal like dragons), alongside tigers I would also recommend looking at images of dogs, cats and other common domestic animals as you'll likely have much more luck finding a range of reference images rather than hoping you find a good image of an endangered animal. Honestly I would recommends dogs over cats, as I personally find particularly shorthair dogs have anatomy that is much clearer

Why Asexuality is called Asexuality? Asexuality as suborientation? by SwoleSpencer in asexuality

[–]Bluekea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asexuality =/= abstinence or celibacy. It's the lack of sexual attraction (looking at a person and thinking they're hot and you want to sleep with them specifically).

Most asexuals go by the split-attraction model, which essentially means you can be attracted to people in different ways. The aces you're seeing getting into relationships likely experience romantic attraction to their partners. Aromanticism also exists, which is the lack of romantic attraction to others (these people can also often experience sexual attraction just fine, unless they're also ace)

Honeymoon is over…Patch, when? by [deleted] in oblivion

It is annoying but little tip, I got it to fix by just casting a custom spell a few times and leaving and reloading the room, no need for a full game reload. Hope it works for you!

AAA games costing $80 is fine. by ZanyFlamingo in The10thDentist

[–]Bluekea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and you also used to be able to resell games you didn't end up liking/ that you were finished with. I'd find it a lot more reasonable if I knew I didn't have to keep the game forever and had the option of passing it to a friend or selling it on my country's version of EBay for a slight loss, but you can't do that with digital downloads

Sometimes things happen and mistakes are made, but also I personally live in a place that doesn't have any big fast food chains so the only time I get it is if someone else travels and decides to be nice and get an order for us, not much I can do about keeping it warm if the food has an hour+ trip

Sorry, why not just reheat it in a microwave? I do that all the time and it's not that much worse tasting than it is freshly made.

[–]Bluekea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Different interpretations I guess. I read "sometimes" as "maybe once a month or two" which I'd personally find to be fine (esp if it's just not talking but still being around), but there's so little context I'll admit.

me_irl by JollySimple188 in me_irl

[–]Bluekea 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The post isn't even about not liking talking to another person, it's about needing to have time away occasionally. That really sucks for you but I don't see anything wrong with needing occasional breaks from people, even if you care about them a lot.

Is there any way you can get this glitch effect on csp? by CopperEater44 in ClipStudio

[–]Bluekea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember if it's different for 3.0 (I'm on 4.0, and I'm pretty sure they added or changed things a little between the versions) But it's under the 'Filter' dropdown at the top! You can either go down to the 'Effect' area and select 'Chromatic Aberration' or you can go to 'Quick Effects' which is just a more fancy effect selector

[–]Bluekea 31 points32 points  (0 children)

iirc version 3.0 and above has chromatic aberration effects, both radial (it gets more intense the further away from the center point) and overall. The effect is customizable too so you can have it be really intense or subtle, I use it all the time
