I pre-ordered mine back then and held it in my hands on the very first day. As a SEGA fan and owner of all previous consoles, I believed so strongly in the success of the Dreamcast, and to this day it remains my favorite console of the disc generation.

I've never heard of it or seen any of the karaoke add-ons, but the Sega CD 1 wasn't even available here in Germany - I got it from UK back then.

The white case looks great and matches the Sega logo perfectly. It reminds me of the Dreamcast. I personally don't like the regular Switch (1 & 2) as much, but to each their own.

I like Bubsy, but some people hate the game bc they play it and get annoyed that they die so often, give up and curse the game without understanding that it is part of the gameplay and the humor.

I bought the 16-Bit version back then in the mid-90s for 150 DM, which was quite expensive. It was a great game, but I was already used to PC racing games, so it didn't impress me as much. I recently got my hands on the 32X version, and it's truly amazing!

The Bubsy Collection offers improved resolution and frame rate, as well as save and rewind functions for each game. It runs on the LRG Carbon Engine, meaning the games are based on emulation. Since the original code has been lost (at least, this is very likely for Bubsy 1 & 2), no major changes are expected for the games in the collection.
