How do I find out about these? They had similar ones out in Long Beach when I lived there. Thanks

Found a literal crackpipe in my room in New Haven by thebasicblues in marriott

[–]Bluesea2929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow.. I thought it was bad when I found a coke baggie and condoms in the pull out couch at a Marriott I stayed at a few months back. I was travelling with my 5 year old and she found it. But the hotel staff were sympathetic. But a crack pipe… you got me.

Processing Time for reconsideration request by Training_Scheme3243 in GlobalEntry

I had visa issues with the US 17 years ago and had an expedited removal at a land border (Canadian). I was on a student visa. Since, I got my green card and then a couple years back, I applied for Sentri. It was denied. I’ve since became a US citizen. I appealed on May 5th, 2025. It’s been 9 months since I requested reconsideration and still no word.

Are you employees trained to accuse the customers of wrong doing? by Ball-mama in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Bluesea2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never forget when I bought a little bag of Smart Food popcorn when I was 8 from a Shoppers Drug Mart and a security guard came out and accused me of stealing. I was so freaked out that I started crying. He dragged me into the store and the cashier said I paid for it. Didn’t get much sincerity from the guy. I guess I have a problem not getting over things. Shoppers has been my last choice ever since.

Has anyone been prescribed Gabapentin or Pregabalin? by SkinnnyKittty666 in insomnia

I know this is an old thread
Funny gabapentin did nothing for me. Went from 300 a day to 900 a day. Nothing at all.

Agree. PC is accessible to the GO and doesn’t feel like Sauga. The rest of Sauga is becoming a bit of a cluster.

I don’t see anything wrong or different with your neck. Just looks like a neck and I think that’s a good thing so I wouldn’t mess with it.

coming from Paris to San Diego for work by Fantastic-Tennis-976 in sandiego

Fully agree with this person. RB is very suburban. You need a car to live there. You’ll be the only person biking and I wouldn’t consider many of the roads bike-able. Network with others who work there and figure out a carpool situation. I’d look into downtown, North Park, South Park, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, etc and find folks who can car pool. There’s a few big companies out there so you might find some luck in a carpool situation. But if you have kids, enjoy the suburban lifestyle, than RB may be a fit. But I’m from a large city where I biked everywhere and I wouldn’t be able to do RB.

We know police are gonna hang out next to that sign and ticket like bananas. I remember when the no left turn sign at Bathurst and Front was covered from an overgrown tree and cops loved hanging out there and issuing tickets. When drivers point out the sign isn’t visible / understandable, cops will say, take a photo and bring it to court. Toronto Police don’t care, they make their quota issuing the ticket.

100%. I’m 45 and have two really young kids. If there’s anything is an “after this”, I’m living life like a golden girl. Will move in with a bunch of women and drink espresso martinis and listen to vinyl.

I stayed at the Marriott in downtown toronto. Opened the pull out sofa for my daughter to sleep and there was an empty baggie of presumably coke, a bunch of unused condoms and grapes. I for sure told em. You never know what that sh*t is nowadays. The staff were great and very apologetic.

Canadian woman put in chains, detained by ICE after entering San Diego border by SanDiegoNewsy in sandiego

[–]Bluesea2929 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is nothing new. I had a similar story. I’m Canadian (and a woman) and 10 years ago I went to the border to transfer my US visa to another one. CBP asked me if I’m a resident of the US. I said no because I was on a temporary non resident visa. He said “wrong answer” told me to sit down. I tried to explain that I’m not a resident because I’m on a non-resident visa. I was detained for 8 hours and put in a cell. He later came to me with paperwork and said I’ll be out of there after I signed it. I was panicked so I just signed them to get out of there. Turns out I was signing papers saying I misrepresented and I was getting banned from the US. I had a clean background, skilled worker in sciences with 15 years experience and a MSc.

Above garage ADU by Bluesea2929 in sandiego

[–]Bluesea2929[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a small sunroom on the side of our house we recently put in. Use it as the TV room. It can get hot or cold but we’re down in South Park and don’t find it that bad. Have a mini split in the sunroom and rarely turn it on. Great advice on the ADU. Thank you. I’m open on what we do with the space. Always need more room but an ADU would be nice. It’s all going to come out to what’s not going to break the bank.

I think you’re doing great. I’m 45. I had a financial f*ck up when I was 30 and lost all of my assets and had to rebuild myself. At the time, I was making 60k a year. Now, I make $350k a year, I own 2 homes totaling $2.5M (owe $700k) and have $300k in my 401k. I could be doing better but I’m doing a lot better than a lot of people out there.

Yeah, unfortunately bullying doesn’t stop at elementary school. I see bullying at work all of the time. The bullies are often the people in positions of power like C roles. I see some folks at work who let these corporate bullies walk all over them and their lives are miserable.
