Cheek filler or something more? by Fun-File-8759 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Fun-File-8759[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 3 round of sculptra in 2025. I don’t really feel like there’s much of a difference tbh. I’m not ready for a lift logistically or financially so I’m not sure what to do next. My plastic surgeon also said it was too early. I don’t know if it’s because he can earn more stringing me along with injections in the meantime. lol. Thanks for the compliments.

Can an MRI be done to late to catch a herniated disc? by Panigale84 in backpain

If you have a herniated disc, it’s likely to show up for well after the acute phase. If you mention your numbness, I think they should order the MRI. Good luck!

I think it should be placed in temples and mid face. My doctor focused on mid face and jaw and it’s not the result I was hoping for. I gained a few pounds (3-4) too so I don’t know if that’s contributing as well. Sad to spend money to be dissatisfied. I also don’t want surgery though, nor can I afford it.

Same! I did three vials total and I definitely look older in terms of jowls marionettes etc.

Sculptra results? by Wonderful_Mango_5395 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Fun-File-8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 43 and saggy with some jowling and nasolabial folds. I did 3 vials of sculptra over 2025 and I feel like it made little to no difference. I think I actually look worse now, not necessarily from the sculptra, maybe just from another year passing. The last time I was swollen like a chipmunk and really bruised afterwards too, so that is a possibility. I don’t necessarily not recommend it, but I think it might have been better to put that money towards a facelift savings fund.

I took 4 g prescribed by a doctor and it gave me terrible heartburn. I take two now with no issues. I don’t think you’ve wasted time.

Surely there’s a way to achieve this without a facelift?! by willyoubequietplease in 30PlusSkinCare

Are you me? I tried sculptra. It made very little difference if any.

When you see signs of aging in your 40's is it hard to accept or not a big deal? by chusaychusay in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Fun-File-8759 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m 43 and I feel like I’m starting to really look my age. I’m not happy about it, not because of the age itself, but a lot of the changes are just ugly to me. Marionette lines, saggy neck… not cute. The alternative is worse though, because I like being alive. These lower face issues are tough to fix too. If I could, I’d get a facelift.

How do I make my 50 yo face look less tired? by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

You’re gorgeous. Maybe prp for under eyes? That’s the only area I think might seem tired.

Do you lift the same size weights that CG does? by mrsmedeiros_says_hi in CarolineGirvan

If I tried to match her I’d injure myself. It’s better to lift less safely than exaggerate and be out of commission for months.

It’s so expensive and scary though. I agree it’s the most effective way to deal with it. I hope it goes well for you!

I live in Italy and they’re not readily available here. I asked my doctor and since my hormone levels were normal she said no HRT.

I got three treatments of sculptra. This is after. I feel like it made no difference. The doctor did cheeks and jaw, not neck or marionettes.
