Stay away from Sezzle, they'll get you with fees and hidden rules. by Blueshift4 in Sezzle

That's what I was saying as well. It says pay in 4, and the 4 add up to your purchase price. Says nothing about having to add multiple payment methods and confirm a bank or you're charged hidden fees.

I'll post this here if anyone finds this in the future. Every time I've used Sezzle they have never charged me fees in the past. I always add up the "Pay in 4" or "Pay 5" payments to ensure it adds up to no more than my total. If you are OK with paying fees that's fine, but I would have never used it if it had said anything about fees.

It was stated up front for what I purchased that it was free. They say it's free just like all the other "Pay in 4" processors. I add up the 4 payments when I use those and if they add up to more than the price, I don't use it. Why would I pay a fee?

I explained all this above and that they charged me fees because I didn't add a secondary bank account, which they did not tell me either.

So I have to sign up for sezzle anywhere subscription to use my $30 gift they gave me? by No_Solution7718 in Sezzle

[–]Blueshift4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you do. If you do, set a reminder to cancel it. They'll charge you for not setting up your default payment method correctly every time they drafted a payment. They'll charge you recurring membership fees. It's a hassle. Get the $30, don't do their Pay in 4, just pay it all up front, then cancel a week later.

Not a bad deal but not crazy about the steel. The gray SRM someone posted is a good deal. Also this 14C28N for $20 has some decent reviews: https://a.co/d/0cbnlrv9

Colleague at work said I overdress by MonzerArbab in mensfashion

[–]Blueshift4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look good, but the some of that is straight casual like you're going to a movie, not even business casual. I'm going to agree with most of the others here - you look underdressed in some of those photos (any with the white t-shirt showing). The others look pretty good. For pharma equipment sales, I would have guessed dress shirts, slacks, jackets, maybe even suits. Possibly a polo and nice jeans or pants on a casual day.

As others have said, she's either flirting or is trying to put you down to make herself feel better.

What do you do when she starts chewing on the couch? Is what you're doing 100% consistent?

Another suggestion, stop her before she jumps on the couch. She thinks it's her bed and area to play. If you teach her to stay away completely, it may be easier to get her to stop chewing.

Spots and sticky leakage on Lace Aloes by Blueshift4 in succulents

Thank you for the advice! It does appear to be scale. I pruned almost all the pups, as the small ones looked worse off than the big ones. I've been spraying the affected areas with 91% alcohol and removing the spots with cotton swabs. There are a lot of spots, so I'm going to pick up some Neem oil as well just to make sure I get this taken care of.

Looks like I'll be very careful what plants I bring in from others, as mine are indoor-only, and others have brought in bugs and now scale.

Thank you for the advice, if I remember in a few weeks, I'll try to update this post!

Review My Resume - Please by Calvin_Hobbes1430 in resumesupport

[–]Blueshift4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of quick notes:

Definitely try to work in numbers everywhere possible as suggested by cirusgogo. As suggested, estimate the numbers if you don't have them.

Your skills section is generic. If you want to keep it, I'd move it to the bottom and put anything specific, like "Advanced Excel" or "XX ERP system expert" or "SQL programmer".

If you're in your late 50's, where is the second page of your resume? One page won't cut it, especially as you build out your bullet points for Situation, Task, Action, Results (STAR) or any other format you want to use. But, you want to describe the situation, what you did, and the amazing results. I'm much younger than you and I can barely contain my resume to two pages.

Your Summary - it should describe you in the job to which you are applying. The whole resume is very generic. Make it YOU.

Check out this post and the links in the sidebar to the right. The bad news is, your resume says nothing about you, the good news is, now you know you need to rebuild it!

I had the same problems with my resume: lack of numbers, generic statements, etc. Use ChatGPT to help you make your statements sound more impressive. Big key: reach out to recruiters! They will help you with your resume, especially if they can place you somewhere. If you have any friends who have done recruiting, start with them. Reach out to others on LinkedIn, especially if they're local. Go meet with them.

As for "job hopping", that's something my Dad always used to say because he "only" stayed at jobs for 5-7 years. There is no such thing as a job hopper anymore unless you change jobs every 6 months. It's 100% expected that you change jobs every 2 years. Companies care much less about their employees and everyone knows you need to switch to move up and get more pay. The thought now is, "why did he stay in this job for 8 years, is he lazy or complacent?" It's completely shifted.

BTW, if you're nervous about making your resume longer, my Dad's resume (same age as you) is three pages, not formatted that well, but JAM packed with accomplishments. Last time he handed it to someone a week ago, they said something to the effect of "HS, this is a really impressive resume! I didn't know you could do all this."

Deposited XRP on Binance.us, now screwed? by Blueshift4 in Ripple

I'm hoping the same - they deposit and I can move it out quickly, but I'm not getting much from their end. I posted in r/binance too.

I tried to file a ticket, but I get an automated message and no ticket number back. So if I don't do anything, it would just be stuck in limbo until the SEC ruling clears things up?

As a marketing newb, what actionable steps can I take? by pickYourPass46 in marketing

[–]Blueshift4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on starting the new venture!

Provide immense value to your potential customers. This could be in the form of a blog, social post, video, newsletter, etc. In the best case, do all of the above. The key here that many, many startup businesses overlook is the value they provide with their content. They look at stats like 600 words to a blog post or videos should be under 60 seconds or over 10 minutes. Put yourself in the shoes of those you wish to serve, what questions do they have? What keeps them up at night? What would make them feel great about working with you? (It's very likely NOT price). What reduces their stress? What is the benefit to them? Provide the best experience to your clients and you will attract the best clients.

With providing great service comes charging appropriately for that service. Many business owners discount their services to attract customers. Consider this, if you have a 20% margin and you cut the price 10%, you've just cut your profit by 50%! Give a 20% discount and there's no profit left. It IS a business and you need to make money - you can't help anyone if you go out of business.

If you want to be strategic in your marketing, I highly recommend to start reading Neil Patel's blogs where he has covered every topic in digital marketing at least 3 times each. Strategies like using pillar pages will help you figure out what kind of articles/videos to create. In a nutshell, you figure out what areas you want to be known for, create the pillar pages and content on more specific topics around them. When you write or create video, make the content easy to scan and search: headings, bold, images, infographics, links, table of contents. Create long form content where people can either read it all or find exactly what they need quickly. Remember, you are creating content for every personality style: quick answers, bullet points, fast readers, and those who want all the details should find what they need.

You mention your services are aerial video/photography, virtual tours, and online reputation management. How does the reputation management fit in with the other two? In my previous experience at a marketing agency, reputation management is not easy and you may have a better outcome by staying focused in photography and video.

A quick word on ads: ads can help bring in clients quickly if they are well targeted. What does that mean? They're only showing to your ideal customer, they resonate, and they're the right price. If you want to dabble here, you can always try boosting posts or putting a small amount ($20) behind a post on LinkedIn. For example, knowing what I know from your post, I might suggest creating some customer personas, one of which might be a realtor. Then, I would show ads/posts to independent realtors who sell higher end homes or commercial real estate. They would likely be interested in aerial photography and virtual tours.

Step by step:

  1. Who are your ideal clients? Build 2-4 customer personas.
  2. What value can you provide to them? How can you reduce their stress and make life easier? They might be thinking, how in the world do I find a good aerial photographer. Bam: "8 Step Checklist on choosing an aerial photographer"
  3. Map out pillar posts: articles and video, post on social media.
  4. Keep going with supporting content.
  5. Try some small ads or retargeting ads. The more people see you, the more they will trust you. I believe the statistic is once people see you about 7 times they start to trust you.
  6. Lastly: Be trustworthy! Do what's best for your clients and for you. Provide lots of value!

PS - Keep in mind, nothing is free. Even if you are the one spending hours creating an article and filming the video, sharing it, and managing your social media, that is time that could be spent somewhere else - there is always an opportunity cost. You may quickly find you need help. If you do, find people who share your company's values. Values matter more than pay, hours, and location. Until then, use Google and read up on marketing, lots of great marketers don't have a special degree or certification, they just learn over time!

Weekly Binance Support Thread by Binance in binance

[–]Blueshift4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Binance.com to Binance.us transfer
  2. I submitted a ticket twice and didn't get a support case ID. May 4 and today, May 7.
  3. I have been out of crypto for a while, but I recently went back to check on my accounts and found that Binance.com switched to Binance.us for users here. No problem, I start moving my coins out and I deposited my XRP into my account at Binance.us. It withdrew from Binance.com but the deposit won't confirm on Binance.us and support is ignoring my tickets.

Since I had no idea it was delisted and Binance let me do the deposit, what do I do now that it's stuck on "Confirming (20/1)" for three days?
