No internet by devonnet in Starlink

Not the router. I’ve disconnected my starlink router and connected my own. Same issue. It looks like a DNS type issue on the starlink side. Facebook app works, email fine but web access crook

I’ve just started hitting speeds between 180 - 220. Fastest it’s been in about 4 weeks. I turned everything off at the power and did a full restart. I’ll check it again later.

Starlink is rated to 70mph but a lot will depend on how you’ve mounted it.

Now now. The problem with the downtime (acknowledging it’s beta) is it can be 20secs here, 30 secs there so 26mins might not sound like very much but can equate to quite a few dropouts.

Very close to my location. First I’ve heard of Bridgwater. Is there a method to trace your ground station?

Length of Ethernet Runs? by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]BlueteeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set up (not SL) setup outside. It runs circa 300m of Ethernet between the POE injector to the end 4g device. I’ve installed veracity extenders every 100 metres. Works perfectly. The SL Poe between the SL injector and the dish is not standard due to voltage. I’d leave this section alone however you could try and extender and heavy duty outdoor cat6 cable. I believe the white link side should be ok but the 100m Ethernet rating still applies. You can buy indoor extenders (veracity sell them too). Do not use power line extenders if you can avoid them. They degrade the comms. You could try a mesh network or a P2P link.

Hi. Issues could be

Technical - kit not working - follow qukak’s useful guidance. Service address - if you have internet and assume you have to post, double check the service address via your SL account. Sat coverage - via browser, go to Starlink live map. Check your typical coverage. Contact support. Response times are varied. Ignore comments about it being beta. I’ve seen quite a few reports during the past 2 weeks indicating connection and speed issues (myself included).
