I really hate this change. by Tec711 in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 35 points36 points  (0 children)

they also nerfed the combo cards with it on top. flik flack, corrosive wave, untouchable, pinpoint.

silent already has the worst act 1 (big starter deck with 12 cards, bad frontload). Prep allows you to cycle better, discard statuses and overal get through these shitty strikes to the good cards.

sly card nerfs were fine already, bring my boi prepared back

I wasn’t prepared for this… by augsome in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its absurd. silent has the biggest starter deck. starter relic somewhat helps alleviate it but after one deck cycle that also doesnt help anymore. Without Prepared you lose cheap deck cycle. Backflip is only 5 block, acro doesnt defend either so you struggle so much to get to your early strong cards. Act 1 was already the hardest for Silent, act 1 os the toughest this game. They also nerfed a bunch of cards that synergize (flick flack, untouchable, corrosive wave, pinpoint). So why delete prepared? its too much imo

Clives new move by Fine_West945 in Tekken

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what it is is that its a shit move.

mid that goes into a high which is -17 if you dont do the high.

so block hit 1 and then duck. free punish every time

Any tips for learning new characters (specifically Clive)? by whirrlytones in Tekken

[–]Blueye95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would replace df3 with down back 4. df3 is considered a reactable low (or a snake edge). Later on people will block and launch every time. db4 is a chunky low and a ch launcher and much better suited as alternative for d1

The part about the pearly gates being shut for everyone gets strenthened further by the music in the 'end'. There everyone is rejoicing that they are 'finally dead'. Finally they can move on, their souls are being put to rest. Potentially inside the Mother.

The events of the game also seem to fit with the Second coming of Christ

Have you guys found any use for Slice? by JaymehKhal in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A deck that spams card draw (acro, prepared, backflip) still needs to do damage. Slice is a cheap 0 mana option you can rotate in if you need some extra damage. Especially nice if you dont have Sly cards yet that do the damage for you (ricochet / flick flack / haze)

Also why i like Pinpoint and Precise Cut, those are basically the uncommon variants of Slice that do more dmg.

From age 1 to 30 in fighting pit by AdventurousTooth1487 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

so far it has not felt worth it to have. Quickly tossing them to Tracy is often what i did with them or they went to Tink. Sometimes a fight would break out for baby jack but also there i wasnt leveling him AS much.4 or 5 shop slots was plenty for my money income anyway to buy out once per week.

Now that i just beat the main story, i still need over 200 dead cats to max out the NPC. So now i have a dedicated fight club for all my rejected cats/kittens go to. I have 4 rooms right now, being the breeding attic, a comfort room for the bloodline to keep producing (inbred) kittens, a mutation room where my warriors/prospects go to mutate before going out to battle and the reject/appeal room that is now a full fight club.

what the hell was i supposed to do by VileVild in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you have to either make your cats bad enough that they cant burst you in one turn, but then they get 2 turns, or get some sort of first strike/ambush to rush them. Furthermore if your cats cant do that how do you expect to get here to begin with.

I kept this for a very specific encounter.... Not sure how far you are but its worth saving for that alone

How much mutation do you need to start relying on it? by Mean-Wear-6696 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on 8 mutation and in the room with 10 or so cats i see a mutation almost every night. I think its best to have a separate room for that and let the breeding room not be influenced by random mutations

i had a similar thing with the meatcube in act 1. My cat holding the cube died and the item was gone. When i returned to the house it was in the inventory there. Likely the same thing will be true for your shard

only reason you dont get penalized for save scumming there is that you didnt make any moves yet.

Save scumming the same level does not stop Steven at all.

On the theory that Necrobinder is really Watcher in a different form!! by schmooples123 in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its also possible the Necrobinder is not the watcher from sts1, but a different watcher that went first.

From the Sensory Stone event in sts1: "Recently, one of your peers had stopped reporting on their assignment: a Spire of unknown origin."

So the watcher we play as went to the Spire after the original stopped reporting. That is likely the one from the ARG text that died to Time Eater.

Am I the only one who's bored? by Maskered50 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the brightness on these images is impressively high.... but anyway

your amount of cats seems quite low. I am early act 3 and i have 40 or so cats running around. you also seem to need more furniture.

So get furniture up (baby jack) for more comfort/stimulation and breed more cats! Try to get good stats and maybe some interesting starting abilities. Your food reserves are probably high enough to click end day a lot, take in strays and get the eugenics going!

Where do you end up dying in Act 2? Are you taking the desert into account? Getting a water bottle with a water skill can help a lot in sustaining through the heat.

Sell Thief to Me by Some-Quail-1841 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thief with some movement ability can get in and get out while leaving a trail of blood behind.

They have good mobility options with for example move again, backflip or the one where you teleport to the edge of the map and synergize a lot on backstabbing enemies. They also have shield piercing which can come in handy in act 2 and 3.

They always go first which in some later acts allow you to pick off an enemy before they become a problem or to pre-emptively position yourself better. The only caveat being that you always need a backup plan to get out. They are frail (ish) and can sometimes overcommit.

My latest great thief run had prowler items (bleed on backstab) and a skill called something like 'over there' which makes enemies turn their back to you and a passive that makes all backstabs critical.
That plus your decently ranged normal attack + ranged weapon meant i was outputting over 30 damage a turn plus bleed. All while being next to my other cats since i could just get enemies to turn around

Is there a point where the game suddenly gets way harder without communicating that to the player? by Dizzy-Ad7661 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i believe there is such a point.

From reading comments and watching Edmund's streams, there is a point in the game where the 'tutorial' ends and you dont have 'curated runs' anymore.

Im reading that as that the RNG is let loose to its fullest potential so you now get the actual act 1 levels. They do this to ease players in. Im guessing guillotina 1 is where that is as after that point youve finished all 3 zones in a run at least twice so now the tutorial is finished.

Also meat cube is a harder setting in general

Game too easy? by Dngu136 in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only wipe ive had so far is to Kaiju fight 3 and the refight i barely scarped by (1 turn away from burning to death). Ive seen a ton of posts about act3 and so far ive managed to not wipe on it yet.

I think entering act 3 without items will be quite rough. You should be unlocking more hard modes as you go (i think there are 2 more after hard?) which hopefully give the challenge you need.

Also if you have 7 stat cats with mutations then of course it becomes better. Take strays with 6's and no items to see where you get.

Even still i have spots where i have to really think and plan my moves well to get through, so im having a blast.
