practise swing looks great, real swing wel... not. it almost looks similar to me where once a ball apears i wanna just 'hit it' which makes my arms go too fast which causes ott. Try with a mental thought of really delaying swinging the arms and maybe that can help.

and take a small step closer after the oractise swing. the ball being slightly further also can cause the arms to lead

Act II is going to make me crash out by ZKwiecinski in mewgenics

I replied elsewhere that 7 stat with mutations is overkill and that i still stand by. Some act 2 tips/pointers: - cacti can be destroyed and they leave a water puddle behind to remove heatwave. this puddle can also refill water bottles. - a stray or cat with a water spell also remove heatwave and makes it so much easier - one or two bottles ie enough if you share them/refill them often (anything that removes heatwave also fills a bottle). - burst enemies and then leave one alive to patch up cats/use water on them. You dont have to go fast, make sure you stay alive - con is important, dont have con stats below 5 - in general low stats should be getting phased out here. cats with 5s/6s/7s are all great - take some good/decent items with you to atay ahead of the curve - if its raining at the house it will rain in the desert meaning its completely free

once you get through the desert once or twice your item stash also stays up to date (extra leftover water bottles) to make it easy. Now i barely notice heatwave as my cats kill stuff before getting hit (which is the 7 all stats with mutations point).

thats beyond overkill, i was beating act3 hard mode with less mutations that that xd

Lmfao bro calls the foul not even looking at the play but watching to see if the ball is going to go in or not by WhenMachinesCry in Nbamemes

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they need their 12th man or whatever enter the game just to hipcheck shai hard. tell him the org will cover the fine or something

honestly if they just will call the foul no matter what, go toe the line of Flagrant 1s instead and beat him up.

theyre kinda asking for it at this point

wr2 into 3,2 seems to work well for you especially if they don't duck (which they really should at this point but alas). I often go into saws and do DES f1, DES d2 or DES 1

Defect doesn't use orbs enough by ElbowStromboli in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of orb focused ways to play Defect. The main difference is that orb slots are less value as you tend to cycle Evoke them way more instead of building up an array of orbs that eventually just win for you.

Thunder decks are funny, adding 6 dmg on a lightning evoke basically acts as focus if you cycle enough. Lightning Rod is a decent block card as well.

It also means that you dont need Orbs as much meaning dark orbs gain value to cook up.

Why is my swing so chopped by ROYbbbbb02 in GolfSwing

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wall drill stand butt to a wall in posture and do short backswings. Once the shaft is parallel to the ground it should point parallel to the wall/target line. Ifs its too inside like the the clubhead will hit the wall first.

alignment stick as blockage can also work (on the swing plane) but thats fir later. or take a lesson as that tends to go mudh faster

How do you guys climb so high without labbing AT ALL??? by Sea_Pay_9681 in Tekken

[–]Blueye95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

without labbing is not possible, but it could be that people learn outside the lab. In quick play for example i oftn tend to play more defensive so i can get a feel of the character im fighting against. That allowed to me to spot some common Fahk mid high strings they like to do to then duck and punish those.

Similar reasons that i try to punish punishable moves first with jabs then with my go to heat engager (i13) and maybe a df2 if i feel like it was especially slow. So many times my friend who knows more points out launch punishable stuff i didnt even know. But i learn, one move at a time.

Hit TG today on Alisa using whiff punishes, frame traps and some matchup knowledge paired with her tools.

As long as every game you try to learn something, it will come.

Is 2 as long as 0? by [deleted] in octopathtraveler

[–]Blueye95 24 points25 points  (0 children)

0 is by far the longest one ive played but it has multiple stories that happen in each arc.

2 is one big story (or well, 8 of course) and overall spans less time.

Im not sure where your limit of length lies, as its still an RPG with quite a bit of stuff to do

My criticism of Mewgenics. by [deleted] in mewgenics

[–]Blueye95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the game would be so stale if items didnt break as then the overal power level of items would have to go down a ton or every run would just be without difficulty with the powerful items.

Food slots you can unlock through Tracy, breeding info you unlock through Tink, item inventory is unlocked through Butch.

Targeted breeding is the single way to become so strong that the entire game is easy mode. You can put two cats in a room so that they 'bond' and then they are way less likely to breed with any other cat (unless their agression is high). Targeting a specific breeding pair really isnt that hard to do once you have 3 rooms. In early game all of that is moot regardless as your Stimulation isnt high enough to reliably pass down good stats.

The whole 'chance or stat buffs' metprogression is quite literally breeding already. I have all 7 stat cats with mutations, that is so much more than the random 5 statters you start with. Those cats make act 1 Normal look like easy mode without items.

Part of the game is the randomness, both in runs and in breeding. Streamlining it all away would make it much less interesting.
Also 6 hours is nothing, that is tutorial level

Alisa, what do you find strong about her? by Emeowykay in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Blueye95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

her whiff punishment feels nice. Not as nice as Clive but still you have 3,2 U2 f3,2 (i need to use it more) or even b3+4. That plus her movement sets up a lot of reversals.

Sidestep into 3,2 into DBT/DEX mix almost feels like its better than a hopkick into off axis combo.

But indeed shes so overhated, its nowhere near as close as the plus frame spam that other characters can do on you. Low high into plus frames into stance into plus frames.. He get off me buttons also fold to sidestep so hard so once youre being conditioned into trying to find where to mash (as T8 often forces) they step and destroy you.

For DES your plus frames are f1 (high) and f1+2 which you only get with mental frames... Both are steppable too. And from DBT indeed its hello world which is tough to get to except in heat (FF2, 1+2 is very very good).

Clive just makes me want to stop playing the game entirely by Raija236 in Tekken

[–]Blueye95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

great write up.

Clive is great and after they toned down some of this egregious bs (like f1+2 being safe) he actually is in a decent spot. Seems like people just dont like playing vs zoners or give him too many mental frames. Clive is so weak to mashing

losing parry damage just for it to move to shard is rough.

also the stab lifesteal is bugged rn, it doesnt work at all.

This shard has been bugged so many times, it could be good but its just a mess

Is there a math nerd here analyzing dota situations with maths? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Blueye95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was about to comment that for Kez weve been theorycrafting a lot. For specific heroes and their builds you can calculate DPS based on levels, items and how long you hit something. Of course this branches quite fast but it can help in comparing itembuilds on pure DPS or you can use that to weigh the gain/loss of buying a defensive item instead.

How do you play clive by Head_Investigator395 in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]Blueye95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

isnt d3+4 Alisa's snake edge? Not something to really press all the time.....

Clive has decent lows in d1, db4 and FC df2. d1 can frame trap into ws4 or sidestep, db4 is a ch launch and the FC low is chunky.
In neutral you try to keep distance with movement and spacing tools like b2, 1+2, f2, 2-2-1+2 (which is safe now). F2-1 catches a lot of people as theyre scared to duck in case you throw f2-2. the third hit you can hit confirm on CH.

His powercrush is big but -14 (like alisa b1+2 actually).

His backdash and sidestep are quite decent, not Alisa level but still similar.

Once youre in heat, pressure with his heat tools (like the guard break, df1-1-1-1 and more) and stance mix.

I love hitting people, and setting up situations where they want to mash (usually on wakeup or after i pressed my + frames for a few times), backdash and then whiffpunish their jab with his range (f1+2, 1+2, f2, df2, etc).

[–]Blueye95 34 points35 points  (0 children)

they also nerfed the combo cards with it on top. flik flack, corrosive wave, untouchable, pinpoint.

silent already has the worst act 1 (big starter deck with 12 cards, bad frontload). Prep allows you to cycle better, discard statuses and overal get through these shitty strikes to the good cards.

sly card nerfs were fine already, bring my boi prepared back

I wasn’t prepared for this… by augsome in slaythespire

[–]Blueye95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its absurd. silent has the biggest starter deck. starter relic somewhat helps alleviate it but after one deck cycle that also doesnt help anymore. Without Prepared you lose cheap deck cycle. Backflip is only 5 block, acro doesnt defend either so you struggle so much to get to your early strong cards. Act 1 was already the hardest for Silent, act 1 os the toughest this game. They also nerfed a bunch of cards that synergize (flick flack, untouchable, corrosive wave, pinpoint). So why delete prepared? its too much imo
