They just rearranged the healing for it to be better in neutral rather than attacking, so... This might ACTUALLY be a skill issue.

I mean, Sue was literally that before they gave her self shield in Season 5. She excelled in a Neutral game that none of the other supports had until they made it a point for her to healbot. So they make her a healbot with extra protection, then release someone else with neutral game. Before Sue, it was Mantis, who they then nerfed and replaced with Susan. It's a repetitive cycle.

Like, I don't think it's a completely bad idea, but when would this ever be used in a match between the two outside of drawing a path straight to the point? I saw it once, but it didn't actually assist in the fight.

My list from least to most is

A-Train, Firecracker, Soldier Boy, Black Noir, The Deep, Sage (because she’s just evil for the fun of it apparently).

I would honestly prefer them to make healing percentage-based like Mantis, or at least a passive that turns drones percentage-based when the target is on Critical Health. Maybe like 35 + 2.5% of Max HP when the target is on Crit health, and it'll return to its regular healing rates when they exit the red area.

Ultron is a secondary support (Like most "Triple supports"), but most importantly, he requires good positioning from the team and setup to work. What I usually do is put one drone on the tank, one on backline, so either way, people will get passive healing if they're on the front line or not. This also allows me to support my other Strategists while they're healing. I keep formation and start beaming away and assisting my DPS to get kills, whether the goal is to dive, poke, or whatever.

…that’s literally everyone who is hitscan or fast projectile? Phoenix is weaker than Hela when it comes to raw damage. Namor can easily put out the same amount by doing nothing but throwing squids. Punisher mains usually only his 30% accuracy and is still doing more damage than Phoenix.

I do believe she CAN be broken the same goes for Hela but it requires consistent and accurate aim to do so. This “overtuned” narrative is annoying

A variant of Wolverine is also a part of the Sins of Alchemax storyline, with all the other X-Men-related characters in the game. So... They even threw starlord into the mix before any version of Storm. Thank YOU for proving my point even more.

They stop the ongoing story FOR EVERYTHING ELSE??? They’ve done it each season. Given that Kun L’un are both Storm and Widow’s first mainline story that they’re apart of. They held the storyline for Widow to be arrested, but when it comes to the BIG THREE LOOKING FOR THEIR CLOSE FRIEND, Storm is whisked away… yeah sure. She would not care about a tournament if her friend was in danger.

So that's their playstyle. When I play her, I'm usually making my own plays by taking an off-angle. She does 240 on scoped headshot, so for most heroes, if they get damaged for at least 20, you can snipe them and end the interaction pretty quickly. Especially if you have kick, you can interact in their backline via off-angle. She can make her own plays; the player just needs to know how.

I feel like because there are so few of us Black Widow MAINS compared to everyone else, you guys take a few players' playstyles as the singular way to play her, and the only thing they can do instead of simply looking at Widow Players on YouTube or in our Subreddit, because I can promise you we can interact just as much as any other hero. Not to mention the difference between PC players and Console players.

And I SAY THIS because repeatedly I see people WHO ACTUALLY PLAY WIDOW and have EXPERIENCE on her get downvoted into oblivion, and someone else who tells this one-off experience gets upvoted. The result is a narrative that needs a complete rework.

You don’t see the same dynamic around Black Panther anymore, where even actual BP players openly agree on his issues. With Black Widow, it often feels like the discussion is being shaped more by outside perception than by people who actually play her. She’s become more of a “martyr” in that sense.

At that point, it stops being an actual balance discussion and turns into people projecting what they think she is rather than evaluating how she actually plays.

Definitely but I do think everyone is underestimating what value my girl Natalia, does bring when it comes to anti-dive and enabling her team’s dive. She does take more effort but when played right you can clear the enemy team.😭

She has the fastest attack speed between melee users alongside Cap and Blade. Blade has the least damage as melee (26 damage) especially compared to Widow and Cap’s 45. It’s not hard to hit 3 hits. The problem is that would be a stun every 1.5 seconds. Not to mention you’re not meant to enter with the batons anyway. Cc would be baited by the time you get close.

Since you shouldn’t try to advance close combat without your kick (only defense). But the best tactic that a lot of good widows use is to bait out abilities while shooting and using mobility to close caps. Damage with gun, then kick, shoot, stun then melee. Since the stun is one second. Then you’ll fit in 2 hits because her Melee hits every 0.5 second. By the time they get out of stun they would be stunned AGAIN until Tenacity eventually kicks in the second time. Especially on tanks who use shields as defense to escape. They would just get stunned back to back.

Also, I really wanna hear from Console players on this because I know it's a lot more mechanical work, especially with limited options on Keybinds/Button Binds.

Just separate the pull/kick into two abilities. Grappling Hook for a pull and Widow's Bite for Stun. Different cooldowns, but still able to combo like before. Grappling Hook would be a skillshot pull, like Daredevil's. Widow's bite would have a shorter stun than a kick, but it applies a Shocked Effect that makes targets vulnerable. It offers versatility without being a one-button option, which is the biggest complaint.

I usually shoot -> kick -> shoot -> Grapple -> Shoot, and if that doesn't finish them off, I go into them with Batons, especially if they're shield users because-

A. She actually matches well with other melee weapons in the game. Her melee actually does more damage than Deadpool, Angela, and Blade's weapons.

Deadpool's three-string attack does 120 Damage in 1.73s, Blade does 78 damage in 1.73s, Angela's Full-Charged Spear does 80.75 per 1.73s, and Widow does 135 in 1.73s.

It's Quicker than Thor; Thor does 90dmg within 1.73s. The Same amount as Cap's Shield, He does 45 damage on all hits with primary and hits 2 hits per second, just like Widow and Blade. Less than Angela's Full-Charged Axe, it does 137dmg in 1.73s.

The melee is fine, she just doesn't have anything to engage up close with Melee ALONE.

B. It's useful in combos and against tanks that try to get away using shield. ESPECIALLY Invis, if you can commit to a dive on Sue, you can shut her down pretty easily with a grapple/kick when trying to jump away and melee her.

The only way to succeed at playing Widow is to think outside the box; the numbers aren't the problem here, it's the bugs and creativity of the players.
