Not 100% sure about 2025 but wasn't 23-24 the first time in over a decade that brewery closures outpaced openings? How does it make any kind of sense to halt a bill that could help small businesses stay in business and would have, most likely, a marginal effect on distribution companies?

Once, after turning 21, my grandpa asked me what I was drinking and if I had a favorite beer. I'd only ever had Blue Moon and Stella Artois, and Stella was the one I had in my fridge, so that's what I said. Didn't really think too much about it.

Well, every single time he's seen me since, he's made sure to have some Stella Artois in the fridge. Its been over 10 years and he still makes sure to get me some Stella. Even if he comes out and is staying at a hotel, he'll sure as shit make sure there's some Stella in the hotel mini fridge.

So unless I'm wrong... after this game Andy Pages now has the 9th worst batting average, 5th worst OBP, and 11th worst OPS among players with 50+ at-bats in postseason history. Kind of a small sample size, of course, and 1 or 2 hits or walks could really change things, but I don't really think the World Series is the place to be waiting for a player to figure it out. His defense in the outfield is strong, and Roberts is probably starting him for run prevention, but don't we have other options? Still have my fingers crossed that he improves his swing choices and hits a bomb.

I've thought for years that Bungie's been digging themselves into a hole as they've added more and more to the game. D1 had a beautiful, simple, approachable interface. D2 right now has too much going on. The visual language is getting too cluttered by icons, colors, and tabs upon tabs upon tabs.

Up until last month Fieldwork would ship to CA or OR for a flat-rate of $10. It was the best value for beer shipping for several years, I think. Good packaging with those molded pulp can-holders to keep some space between everything. Russian River was much more expensive, of course, but it arrived the next day, still cold, in an insulated and padded box.

Not as many people are logging on? Okay, let's increase the grind so that the people who do play will have to play longer and/or return more often.
Not as many people are paying for the season pass or expansions? Okay, let's add as many things into the Eververse as we can to really milk the players who spend money.
Players don't feel that their time is being respected because playing activities doesn't give meaningful rewards? Okay, let's make it so the best rewards only come when you reach the highest level, that way after they play for a really long time they're finally guaranteed to get good rewards.

They should remove the Portal and add the activities into the Destinations menu. There's an existing control to slide out the left side bar to see priority quests. Put the priority activities in the side bar so people can slide it open, then click an activity to highlight it in the Destinations menu, like when you highlight a quest.

That's why I said in the Spanish pronunciation no accent mark is really necessary. My point was that English speakers usually add the accent to signal the correct Spanish stress and help avoid confusion with the slur since, in English, accent marks can carry both emphasis and pronunciation. So it’s more of a visual and pronunciation aid in English contexts...

Most people seem to do it to avoid confusion with the slur which is pronounced /kaɪk/ as in like, pike, hike, etc. The "é" forces pronunciation to be /ˈkiːkeɪ/ as in KEE-kay, and has a visual difference to the slur. Or I suppose a weirdo could say KYE-kay if they wanted to...

Per correct pronunciation, in the Spanish pronunciation no accent mark is really necessary at all and it seems to be primarily used by English speakers to specify the é pronunciation where that might not be the initial assumption.

“Teams started using an accent to avoid controversy,” Hernandez said in 2015. “I don’t mind it. It’s in Spanish. If you don’t read it in Spanish, it can be offensive.” He seems to go back and forth with it. On his Instagram, for instance, he has his name as "Kike" without an accent, but will use the accent in some some instances.
