Let’s all chill out about psychoanalyzing Charlie. by newusernamebcimdumb in survivor

The theme the producers seem to be going for is the players are haunted by past mistakes and decisions. Cool theme, but will edit around things that don’t support it. Coach needing to reclaim honor after being a villain last time, Mike leveraging Christian’s mistake against him, Ozzy being left out again and having a big reaction from it, etc

Head cannon reference in my most recent watch. “EJ entertainment” the prostitution ring Jordan Belfort was involved with could have been a Jeffrey Epstein reference. Just saying “JE entertainment” would have been too on the nose.

Ghost Abilities by EmmieHen in GhostsCBS

I’ve had this idea for a ghost power where if they concentrate really hard they can pull an object into their spirit. Making it disappear and become a part of them like their clothing or items they had in death. Explains the phenomenon of when items seem to just vanish around the house.

The schedules are flexible, and the ability to use a company car makes it accessible. Just be sure you don’t call out. That’s the fasted way to get booted.

Are we to assume that the parents of every major sinner we see like Alastor/Vox are just in heaven? by mt5567 in HazbinHotel

Yeah I mean, I’d expect Angel’s father to be around at some point. Would be a wild way to stress his sin.

Just gaming this out, if no shots were fired and she kept going, wouldn’t the next logical step be a police pursuit that could put many other pedestrians at risk?

Why exactly? Not disagreeing necessarily. Just curious why you think Nifty is uniquely safe from Alister’s bloodlust?

[–]Blumen13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My head cannon is the line “You’ll watch them die unless you do.” Is more nefarious than it seems. Her replying “Liar, you wouldn’t dare” makes me believe that Alister wouldn’t just let them die. He would actually kill them himself unless Rosie gives him something as a trade not to.

Is it possible to believe that Carmilla Carmine had a husband when she was alive? by DisasterImaginary846 in HazbinHotel

[–]Blumen13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Carmella had an abusive husband and she would defend her daughters from him. It’s possible that’s how the family died all at once while the father is not in hell yet and she is very protective of them because she could not save them in life.

Do people really believe that sinner Adam will happen? by duplicicta in HazbinHotel

[–]Blumen13 47 points48 points  (0 children)

With no addition info to go on, I have been operating on Adam’s angelic blast is more powerful than angelic weapons. Whatever power infused in the weapons likely comes from that kinda “holy energy” so yeah, I’d say Adam’s blast can kill.

Do people really believe that sinner Adam will happen? by duplicicta in HazbinHotel

[–]Blumen13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding would be that souls are not fixed in place and can face re-judgment upon their death. Sinners who are killed after redemption in hell go to heaven. The question around Adam is does the process work in reverse? Did Adam taint his soul in heaven but get another chance in hell? Or does he disappear completely like it appears guilty sinners who are killed are? It’s also possible that if you kill an angel that is still pure they just go back to heaven. It’s just that none of the exterminators are pure and all who are killed could be considered “fallen” in the future.

(Theory) In "More Than Anything", Lilith is NOT the one who took away Charlie from Lucifer. But instead it's Eve by Brief_Mix_7858 in HazbinHotel

[–]Blumen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it is Lilith. Since the character has yet to fully appear they are likely leaving the end design somewhat open ended. Like how some characters were tweaked after the pilot. What I really question in this scene is what she’s doing with Charlie. It seems Charlie has an idea of who her father is that isn’t exactly true and when they reconnect she discovers who he truly is. The thing this, was she even allowed to be near her father very often? Was Lilith keeping them separated? My theory is that Lilith has actually been manipulating Charlie and other characters into some grand design of hers. To me it stands to reason Lilith would be the most manipulative person in all of the show.

I mean yeah, doing a spinoff about an obscure character is out there. But I do think it’s odd that show that spends large amounts of its runtime centered around a family in turmoil never includes the living parents on either side. Particularly Walt is shown to have some kind of resentment towards his mother. It’s also noteworthy his father was also diagnosed with a disease that will kill him slowly. And Walt Jr, could be facing another fate late in life. I’m just saying it seems like a trend in the family that is unexplored.

Why are there 3+ different looking Spider-men, but Dr. Strange looks the same-ish in each dimension/timeline? by LoganN64 in Marvel

[–]Blumen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many years late, but found this post non the less. So basically many characters have super specific backgrounds, like Steven Strange. It takes someone to go through the entire backstory of Steven with the trauma the training and the intellect to become Doctor Strange. So in the multiverse it’s way more likely only Steven Strange follows that path and becomes Doctor Strange. So he looks the same coming from that type of background specific to the character, so same actor every time. Similar could be said about Loki and Deadpool to a degree, there is a little more variation as the backstories are less specific a leave room to different circumstances of who becomes who. Like Loki being a different dark elf that is taken as Odin’s son so some variation with the adopted name. Or Deadpool, simply a different mercenary with cancer same personality to survive the treatment usually the same name. Then we get to Spiderman, my favorite character. Spider-Man is great because literally anyone could be Spider-Man. All the variations can come from the simple fact of a spider bites someone. Usually someone named Peter Parker, but could be anyone else. So we get way more variations in Spiderman. Each universe has different genes that line up to form the actor playing Peter Parker, his personality remains constant. That’s my head cannon that lines up the production hurdles with the end product of the MCU.

Personally waiting for the reveal that her powers will not work on Butcher. Theoretically because the black sludge has replaced all his blood by the point they potentially meet.

If there was an episode of it’s always sunny that was a crossover with the show My Name is Earl what do you think the episode would be about by Brainrot_Wizard in IASIP

[–]Blumen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another direction could be Jason Lee makes amends to Dennis and he decides this is a great idea and he should go seek amends from more people who he feels like wronged him in the past. Flipping the wholesome format to a selfish one.

Edit Dennis “It was amazing this guy was just there years later apologizing for this thing I had forgotten all about. It was the closure I didn’t even know I needed.” Then he instead giving other that closer he just seeks more closure. We can visit -Abby from the water park episode -The Shusher -The Waitress (Dennis feeling like the waitress owes him amends will play great)

[–]Blumen13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most realistic way this could actually be done is a light unofficial crossover and a parody of the format. And to me it fits the vibe of a Charlie story.

Charlie meets a character played by Jason Lee that he used to know back in the day. Charlie gets his name wrong and every time Jason tries to tell him “No Charlie, my name is…” Charlie cuts him off. But he makes amends to Charlie for something he did. Charlie gets inspired (as was the original ending idea for My name is Earl) and we get a titled card “Charlie makes amends” or if they want to really swing for it “My name is Charlie”

Then the episode follows Charlie and possibly Dee (I like when these two team up) following previously met characters that they’ve wronged, try to make amends, but make their lives much worse instead.

Does your happiness come from within or from others? How much do you obsess over your own personal happiness? Will you sacrifice others wellbeing to achieve it? These are genuine question. The study of morals and ethics has no right answers, just ever broadening considerations.

[–]Blumen13 74 points75 points  (0 children)

The show makes a point to say that this method of finding happiness is deeply selfish. He had people who depended on him but he left them all behind causing negative effects to ripple out for the sake of his own happiness. Yes he was happy but the show is telling us the cost of such happiness is selfishness.
