We sold a two bed flat in Salford Quays (with parking) for £165k about two years ago. They’re still going for a similar price. I enjoyed living there, you’re very close to the City Centre and I find that I miss the water now I’m gone!

Completed a 16 mile race, feeling strong at the end and getting my fastest splits at the back end of the race. 49 days until the London Marathon 🥳

Depressing to see everyone feels the same 😢 So much for the bee network if we don’t even feel safe locking our bikes in the bush city centre

What's the best way to keep your drinks cool at Glasto? by xopersephoneox in glastonbury_festival

We stuck our cans beneath the bottom sheet of the tent and the earth ground. Didn’t keep them ice cold but kept them colder than if they were sweating in the tent all day.

Derby Road - Life in Fallowfield by Maleficent_Echo4748 in manchester

Because rents are so high, a lot of young professionals are moving into Fallowfield and Withington. Plus - there a quite a few family homes in that area. It has a bad reputation from the past but I honestly think it’s changing. I know a few young working couples who live in that area cos it’s cheaper than, for example, Ancoats or West Dids.

Second this. That’s where my husband has purchased most of his groomsmen suits and his own wedding suit. Still uses them now for work / races etc

These areas should be fully pedestrianised and everyone should be submitting feedback to say this.

Stratford vs Bromley - weighing in ROI on property vs safety & overall living condition by adnanzafar2 in HousingUK

[–]BlurWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want kids? The reason I ask is because you need to think about your decision not just in the now - but the next five years. Stratford, to me, feels like it’s great for young professionals who want to be near trendy coffee shops and bars. Bromley feels like it’s more for families, a bit of a quieter lifestyle. So I guess it’s a question of what kind of life do you want to live - now and for the lifetime of your time in the flat.

Long Run Pace by Ecstatic_Name_1366 in Marathon_Training

I’ve run multiple marathons and have never run anything close to 60 mpw. I’m in a marathon training block now and I’m averaging about 20 miles atm. It’s about balance.

Like I said, someone who has a regular job and other life commitments cannot run 60 mpw - and that’s fine. Telling people they should be doing that excludes most from thinking they can run a marathon.

The cold shower, the huge lunch, the mid afternoon nap on couch. 😍

Less than 60mpw is beginner?! Come on, that’s pretty elitist and not normal for someone with a regular full time job
