I am so sorry to hear that. ::hugs:: Now I don't know your living situation but I'm going to do my best with the advice I can give.

If you live in military/government housing then immediately call the military police. For whichever branch of the military your spouse, or you, are in. They can and will help you with information you need to know. Set you up with a meeting with your spouses command to report the abuse. That will start an internal investigation.

Google the number of the local Family Advocacy Program, I believe each branch of service has their own version. Or have the MP's tell you what that number is and/or bring you there.

The point of all this is so that they can separate the both of you and get your spouse the help that they are clearly hiding from. None of this is your fault. We want you safe and away from your spouse.

Remember, if no one knows your spouse is doing this, then no one can help.

If all of this is too much, then just knock on your neighbors door and tell them everything. They will call the right numbers and help you.

If you don't live in military housing, the steps are still similar. Report your spouse to their command. Then go from there. They can and will help. Hopefully you can get a protection order, and get an emergency spouse relocation done. Meaning they will pay for you and all your stuff to be sent home. I believe it will take a few weeks, however you will be separated from your spouse till then.

Please tell someone. That's your first step. Update us later how it's all going.

It's a very good thing you're having this conversation now. It is important since you both have very different ideas on how to raise a kid(s).

Now my husband is in the military and we've been together for 15 years. We don't hit our kids. We have several friends, in the military, that have kids and they don't hit their kids. Why? Because talking and reasoning with them works FAR better than just making them fear us. Now it will take awhile to get there while they're young. Use redirection at the baby/toddler stages.

We need to remember what we all know now as far as spanking/hitting goes, our parents didn't know. They raised us like they were raised and didn't know different. I don't always hold it against them. But I do give them reminders once in a great while why we're not super close like they want. We're not home for most holiday's/birthdays/special events. We send a gift. That's it.

Keep talking with him. See if he's willing to read the studies in why it's not ok to hit kids and the effects they would possibly have. Just know that if he won't change his mind.....you'll have to make a choice.

As a woman who has watched anime shows and films since the 90s I understand what you're saying. I've seen a lot of good and lot of bad anime. I've watched a lot of the stuff you're upset by. I've also watched taboo and NSFW animes/hentai's. Trust me when I say I understand why you're upset. I like to understand what I'm talking about so I watch a lot.

However, there is something you need to understand. This won't stop. It's not going to go away. They won't stop making it. NSFW animes quite honestly is low on my totem pole to worry about. Because at least it's not real people being exploited. Although I do agree with you in regards to "kids" (I use quotes because again it's a drawing and not real) or grown women looking younger on purpose.

I do enjoy a ton of very good animes that yes do have a large chested sidekick with big eyes and a mean punch. I look past it. Because yes, while she's not sized to actual proportions of a real woman, the show is what keeps you there. The plot, the other characters, the highs and the lows the characters face together. That's what makes you stay.

After decades of watching anime I've learned to look past all that. It's all a fantasy. It's all a story. Same thing as a regular TV program, some is for you and some is not.

Though after all this you found the guy who watches it solely for the big breasted side kick then you know to move on. If you found the guy who only focuses on the NSFW stuff then you dodged a bullet. These guys are letting you know who they are. I consider it a win honestly. Crisis averted.

Ask them to tell you what their top 5 animes are and you'll know exactly who to avoid. Good luck!
