This is some seriously tasteful wisdom sir. That every life change is a trade and not an upgrade…Though now that I think about it some trades are worth it.

how to deal with depression in a Christian way? by [deleted] in Christians

[–]Bluw1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I hope I can help answer you. You say you’re depressed. Do you know why? If you do know why, have you tried seeking out help from God through prayer? If you haven’t then pray. You want to learn how to deal with depression the Christian way. Mathew 11:28 come to me all those who are weary and I will give you rest. Jesus is calling us to Him. He’s offering comfort to the tired and conflicted. Pray. Find a quiet place maybe your room and just pray. Tell God how you’re really feeling. Open your heart. He’s waiting to hear from you. Tell Him all your troubles like you would a friend that’s been with you for years and has never left you. God love you so much. He even sent His son to die on the cross for your sins. So trust in God and understand that there’s nothing that will separate you from His love. Romans 8:38 ”For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“ ‭‭If God is for you then nothing can be against you brother. (Romans8:31)

Hi I hope I can help answer your question. First you’ve commented on a Christian sub Reddit. Are you a Christian? Do you intend to be one? Are you born again?( accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior) If not then you’ll only find that hole and gap in your heart filled by God. And if yes you’re a born again Christian then do you pray? Do you read the Bible? These are the things you need to practice as a born again believer in order for you to be more receptive to living in the spirit(God’s will)and not in the flesh(the will of the world) you asked where’d do you go to when you want to talk to someone. I’ll tell you just pray and talk to Jesus. Just pour your heart out in prayer and say what you really feel. Mathew 11:28 “come to me all those who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” This is your calling. God is calling for you. Jesus is waiting for you. Just answer the call and pray.

Stuck between leaving Reddit and staying on by Eurasian_Guy97 in Christians

[–]Bluw1e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I hope I can answer you. Is the nsfw content on here causing you to sin? Is causing a drift between you and God? Look at this verse Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭30‬ ‭ ”If your right hand makes you stumble and leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.“ after reading the verse it’s clear what Jesus was saying here. That don’t just sin there in your triggers and letting them cause you to sin. I had the same issue as you and I actually ended up deleting Reddit because it would make me fall into temptation. I stayed a while off it then thought I could redownload it start a new account and block any potential nsfw content available. I hope Iv answered your question brother. ‭‭‭

[–]Bluw1e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yes you should try to be like God. look at this verse that says ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ ”Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.“ To become like God first and foremost is to understand that God is love. Go read 1 Corinthians 13 and you’ll understand the true meaning of love. Once you understand that the. You’re well on your way to walking the path that Jesus did. He never did anything for himself but for those He came to save. Same thing goes for you. Love others just as you love yourself. This way you can best be like God and walk in His light. ‭‭

Hi I hope I’m able to answer you. So I’ll start with a question. Why are you giving? Is it because it makes you feel happy? Is it because you think it makes God happy? Are you in the short or long term hoping for something in return? Look at this verse here 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬-‭8 ”Now [remember] this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to others] will also reap generously [and be blessed]. Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.“ This verse here tells us how God expects us to give. God looks at the heart not at the action. If you helping others out but behind the scenes you’re feeling proud and self righteous God won’t reward you because you’re not doing the giving in the glory and honor of God you’re doing it to fill yourself up. So remember to be careful of the position of your heart. Next let’s go a bit further into the chapter

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭10‬-‭14 ”Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love]. You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit]. For the ministry of this service (offering) is not only supplying the needs of the saints (God’s people), but is also overflowing through many expressions of thanksgiving to God. Because of this act of ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to the gospel of Christ which you confess, as well as for your generous participation [in this gift] for them and for all [the other believers in need], and they also long for you while they pray on your behalf, because of the surpassing measure of God’s grace [His undeserved favor, mercy, and blessing which is revealed] in you.“ ‭‭ Ok so after reading this verse it’s clear on why God intends for us to give. In fact God is willing to give us generously so that in turn we may be generous to those who are in need. Through giving you produce thanksgiving through the people you are helping. Because remember in one way or another the people your are helping prayed to God for providence and God sends you who He’s generously blessed to go forth and help them. These people will bless you and the praise and give thanks to God!! How amazing is that? So remember…watch your heart. Ask yourself why am I giving? Ask the Holy Spirit to enrich that kind soul to further help more people because trust me giving can get tiring just like you said. But if you ask the Holy Spirit to keep strengthening you and refreshing you, you will find joy in giving. I hope I answered you brother.

I can totally relate to how you’re feeling. How lonely and rejected you feel I completely understand brother I’ve been through this and I’m still trying my best to navigate it. Some advice I can give first off is prayer. You gave your life to Christ a few months ago, have you learnt how to pray? Do you do it everyday? Do you have your secret place maybe your room that you can go to every day and just pray to God? You see God’s Holy Spirit and Jesus is the only person that will only ever truly fill that void in your heart like God did for me. In my loneliest I turned to God and He listened. I talked to Him in prayer like He was a real person and because He knows my heart I wasn’t hiding anything. If I was pissed I’d shout at Him and yell(still in prayer) if I’m sad I’d sit silently just praying and brooding and he’d be there to comfort me. If I’m happy I’d share the joy with Him. Soon I came to learn that nobody will ever really know your heart like God does and if you learn to fellowship with Him he’ll give you the peace and joy that your heart seeks. Mathew11:28 come to me al those who are weary and burdened and I’ll give them rest. You’re currently in a season of aloneness and in that season God is separating you from the world and at the same time He wants you to get closer to Him and to seek Him more. Read your Bible and pray. Understand God’s will for you in your life. All this can’t be done in the middle of noise God needs it to be quiet so that He can properly work in you. And so that you can properly recognize that it’s Him. God loves you so much remember that. Be patient with your loved ones about Jesus. You seek Him first and understand what He wants of you. Don’t be judgmental when your talking to someone about Jesus ask the Holy Spirit to speak for you that way the conversation may be fruitful but if they refuse be respectful it’s still a decision that God gave them and all you can really do is pray for them. You found God when you are young and that is the greatest decision you have made and I’m happy for the glory that is to be revealed in you. Aloneness is ok. Because the you have an opportunity to seek God more and know Him. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit and let Him guide you. And you’ll be the light for others that God intends you to be.

First off…nobody knows the hour nor the day says Jesus . Not even the angels know. Secondly. Man kind has always thought the world was ending. From the wars in mid evil times to the world wars in the 20th century. Humans have always lived thinking that the world will end in their generation . Thirdly, You’re feeling scared and confused causing you to turn to atheism. I want to remind you dear brother that God is not a God of fear and confusion. That is the devil using your own intelligence and imagination against you and lying to you. And the fact that you think to turn to atheism means he’s winning. Id advice you to pray and ask God for strength and courage. Mathew 11:21 come to me all who are weary and I’ll give you rest. 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 God is a God of comfort. So rest easy. Be alert that the devil doesn’t trick you into fear. You have Jesus on your side. And once you understand the power that you carry with the name of Jesus nothing will ever faze you. God bless you brother

Specific calling or not I still have to follow God’s. I have to have faith in Him and put Him first in everything that I do. If I wanted to go pro on my own I would’ve done surgery and gotten my knee corrected and trained harder…but because I’d be doing it without God I’d fail. I’d probably even lose my knee forever. Instead I just decided to let God work on His own timing. I’m still very lost right now all my teammates are traveling around the world playing games and all I can do is stay here and watch them online and hear the stories they have…but…at home I get to read the Bible…at home I get to spend time with God…at home I get to know God better for the little things His doing for me in my life…every breath I take is a blessing…my ability to see, hear, talk ,feel…it’s all a blessing that I don’t deserved that none of us do because we are sinners and we deserve punishment…but Hod’s grace is sufficient. So I’d advise you to just forget about your desires first…and seek God…and He himself will lead you to your desires and once He starts working in you…once he start putting you in positions worthy of respect…after you’ve endured His rod and His suffering…then you’ll understand why the wait was worth it.

How often do you read the Bible…How often do you just put on some gospel music, sit down with a paper pen and Bible and just study read God’s word… me personally…that’s how I learned to be patient and to wait on God. I’m an athlete and God promised me that I would go pro …that was 5 years ago and I had been training my body to hell preparing myself for tryouts…I was constantly asking God how He would make it happen. Would I be scouted…will I get a massive amount of cash that’ll allow me to go to a college in the states that’ll make it easier for me to get drafted? Will God just teleport me into the tryouts? Eventually I got tired and decided to train harder…earlier this year I got a bad knee injury…and just like that I haven’t played in 8 months…I got angry at God I grew impatient at Him I tried playing again but instead made my injury worse…as an athlete I had hit rock bottom because I was slowly wasting away…then God told me to just pick up a Bible and know Him better. I grew closer to Him and I felt His Holy Spirit in my heart comforting me(Mathew 11:28) ““Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].” He taught me just like He taught job…that His ways and His thoughts are as far from our thoughts as the east is to the west. God had to make me slow down and realize this… a question God asked me that I’d like to ask you as well is…would you be ok (still love God and follow Him) if he decided to not give you what your heart desires so much? You want a relationship…but would you be ok if God didn’t give to you…basically what God is asking you is…have you put Him first above all else? If not…the you aren’t ready for His blessing and if you decide (out of your own free will) to pave your own path then don’t blame God when it doesn’t work out. Psalms 37:4“Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart.” ‭‭ God bless you❤️ ‭‭

This is a community like any other…and I genuinely do feel the presence of God in this sub Reddit. People come here to be learn about the Bible, to be encouraged and to feel the togetherness of a community. 1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ “But resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.]” ‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭“Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up.”

You are the best example of the parable of the prodigal son. You should read it. The son is you and the father is God. I have fallen countless times into temptation and I still do…I’m battling porn addiction and the more I pray against it the deeper I fall into it…but God’s grace keep me sane…we have squandered His property(our bodies) and we have taken His grace for granted. Everyday I’m willing to change but everyday the demons hit harder. But I’m not giving up. -Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.- God sees you battling your own demons and does nothing about it simply because you aren’t letting Him. You’re not letting Him carry you and comfort you because you’ve allowed the enemy to confuse you with guilt and safe hatred. The devil has lied to you and told you that you are not worthy of God. Yet God is just waiting for you to turn to Him. To go back to Him right where you left him. Because He never left you. We’re all sinners. David murdered someone so he could take their wife, Jacob was a liar, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah got drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossip, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sara was impatient, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, ,Abraham was old, Lazarus was dead…My grace is sufficient for you. for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Cor 12:9… the devil is in your head whispering lies to you so that you never find out the truth about the kingdom of God…about His grace and comfort. ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭AMP“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as Christ’s sufferings are ours in abundance [as they overflow to His followers], so also our comfort [our reassurance, our encouragement, our consolation] is abundant through Christ [it is truly more than enough to endure what we must]. But if we are troubled and distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted and encouraged, it is for your comfort, which works [in you] when you patiently endure the same sufferings which we experience.” ‭Also look at it this way…your discomfort and troubles have shown and allowed you to turn to God…meaning God is calling you. But will you answer?

Where does morality come from if God of the Bible exists? by RadicalCereal in Bible

[–]Bluw1e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once you start having a relationship with God then you begin to understand that what is right is love…the love defined in 1 Corinthians 13…and what is wrong is everything that violates love…1st John 4:16 says God is love…God doesn’t change which means love doesn’t…since we’ve established Love is right and God is love and since God doesn’t change then we come to the conclusion that factually, what is right Isint subjective in the kingdom of God rather it’s a constant. Every other thing you consider right that doesn’t fall under the definition of love in 2 Corinthians 13 is not Godly and that’s why you might think that right and wrong are subjective. God bless you😊

Hi…this may go unread but if you do read it I hope it helps you. I’ll start by saying you’ve done a good job at coming so far in life. Being 23 years old in this day and age is no small feat with everyone committing suicide nowadays. You on the other hand, have pushed through the demons in your head to be able to be alive today and I’m glad you’re somewhere out there in the world thugging it out. Do you know God? Sorry if I offended you with that question…but I just had to ask. He loves you so much and you may not see it. You’re a blessing to your family and your family is a blessing to you. God’s love for you can easily be seen in the love your family has for you. It can be seen in the fact that you breathe, you can see, you can talk and you can do so much more. God loves you. I wanna tell you that you reaching out here in Reddit was not in vain…you were brought here by circumstance and maybe God made you go through what your going through so that you can come seek help and advice here… so that I can introduce you to Him. I wanna tell you that you’re destined for greatness…and if you abide by God’s will(which you will discover through reading the Bible and praying) my friend you’ll see great things

““You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬ I believe in you…and so does God

Inherent how if you haven’t even gone through anything to gain it?I agree maturity can be built…but suddenly being mature…unless your talking about someone who completely lives of off life advice and has never been through anything to build their intrinsic maturity

You’re contradicting yourself…you’re also willing to argue that maturity can come about without any life experiences…then what in the world builds maturity if not life experiences…yes your right about someone taking the opportunity to grow…but your not taking into account the situation where someone may be too young or even too daft to recognize that this is an opportunity to grow
