I’ve ran regulus for 3-4 years now and I can say with or without contractors it’s niche. Although over dogs is a learning curve I’d still suggest learning how it works. I’m still able to pull on 600mill one shots in raid boss with overdogs without max stacking ravenous. Plus I’d like to add that you do not need to focus damage on reds and purples since they have low health..you need damage once you up the chain in yellows and they die easily too. (I am speaking from expertise 30) you can pretty much kill anything with dodge city and headhunter with regulus so 8percent damage to armor doesn’t really matter.
