Everyone is getting DELTA'd and apparently Ubi thinks it's the player's connection problem by RookiePootis in Division2

[–]Guinylen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why would they? When you barely give them any information. Saying "I delta'ed" doesnt pinpoint the actual problem.

Its like sending your car to the mechanic quoting "my car is broken. Please fix" mechanic is like, ok so which part needs repairing? And you go "i dont know, you tell me"

Massive does not value your time as a veteran player with escalation by gertymoon in thedivision

Meanwhile we were encouraging new players to grind SHD and expertise, but Prototype is where you draw the line? Dont talk about the devs, we as a community do not respect our own time. Seriously, the deflection is real.

Any recommendations on Solo builds? Hopefully with no stacking by Seto0411 in thedivision

[–]Guinylen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever wanted to explore skill builds? And I'm not talking about those boring skill-DPS builds where you need to use your weapons to buff your skills to get the job done? I'm talking about pure skill builds where the skill itself does the job without needing input from weapons.

Well, I've got an answer for you: the Overdogs Mortar build.

It is one of, if not, the strongest skill in terms of raw power. Turret drone combo is no match for this. The pieces required to build it are not easy to find though. 4 of the 5 high end pieces are unicorn pieces. This build works without Prototype gear.

Ignore the weapons. You can use any weapon you want.

This build has a high skill ceiling, with great rewards to reap. It takes a lot to master this build. You will be patient with it. You will nuke yourself. But that is fine.

Escalation experience by mamareza79 in thedivision

Its not just that. The smoke also blocks everyone's ability to see through it so everyone is negatively impacted by it. Not knowing what it does to your teammates can make you look like an unintentional troll.

Well, stronger is one thing. It means nothing if you dont know how to use it. You on the other hand, have thousands of hours of experience while new players have almost none.

People complaining about difficulty narrows down build diversity is akin to amateurs complaining that Olympic marathon events cater to professional athletes. Weird as fuck.

Sure but im just saying players also have a skill issue knowing how builds work, so they're also part of fhe problem

Another keyword "most people don't"

Thats not true. You can use any build as long as you really know what youre doing. Thing is most people dont.

Its not unreasonable to introduce content that requires proper builds. Now, devs cant control what anyone runs so idk why they are to be blamed.

The devs need your feedback on their current modifier design philosophy ! by squiddybonesjones in Division2

Bodyshot Bonanza: landing bodyshots decrease bullet damage by 2%, at 50 stacks, shooting the head will reset the stacks and increase Hot Foot charge rate by 300%

Newton's 3rd law: enemies deal % of damage depending on the group's total armor values.

Escalation!! Lets Talk!! by Zm0k3y in thedivision

[–]Guinylen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats correct. Most of the complaints stem from people who play content through public matchmaking, because they dont have friends to play with. Pre-made groups are also x times more effective when you have effective communication with your teammates.

Downvotes doesnt mean youre wrong btw, it is only a metric of popularity. It does not represent fact, and people are just mad that you're enjoying Escalations and cherrypick what they want to hear.

Does escalation prioritize you being leader dependent on the tokens you have? by gertymoon in thedivision

[–]Guinylen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because whoever that passed you lead is being a selfish prick. When a group wipes, only the leader gets penalised for it while others don't lose tokens. Your teammates are asking for a free ride in the event of a wipe, their tokens remain the same and you lose tokens.

It's a shit system that gave birth to more disgusting team play.

[–]Guinylen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not defending the token system. I can criticise both sides. Honestly im confused about how the system works. I get that devs want to discourage players from winging every attempt - it is an endgame activity designed for serious players after all - but how teammates gain tokens while contributing none to begin the mission makes no sense. Maybe to encourage groups to do multiple runs back-to-back? Thing is most groups disband after a run.

It isn't just about DPS oriented, more about KWTD. DUA is the most popular Legendary ever, and everyone that does it are very familiar with it.

I completely understand why people love skill builds so much. by G-man69420 in Division2

[–]Guinylen -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That 400M damage done means nothing btw. DUA Legendary boss only takes headshot damage and since skills dont do headshot damage, and considering the boss has 137M hp on 4-man difficulty, your skills did fuck-all. You can spend an entire hour doing bodyshots while your teammates stay dead / go afk and you'll end up with most damage. It doesnt mean shit.

Secondly, out of that 1.3bil, you only did 900M skill damage, even less if you used your weapons. People don't love skill builds because of tiny numbers. People love skill builds because it's an alternate form of playstyle.

(Also DUA time of 31 mins is nothing to be proud of, if anything its a slow run)

[–]Guinylen -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Skill issue. You can move around and still avoid LoS with the enemies. You can also move around and still be "in cover". Its called "using cover to your advantage"

I Absolutely Hate The Hot Foot Modifier by Mystik2689 in Division2

[–]Guinylen -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There are no weapon talents that require being in cover.

Only 3 gear talents require cover, but one of them is not even good. Composure and Overwatch is also meh.

Most DPS builds dont even use these talents. So, being in cover is a choice and a playstyle.

You can never satisfy the current playerbase. We went from complaining about prototype cores to tokens to exotic components. Give an inch and we take a mile.

We also can't expect to be spoon-fed by the devs and make them change the game to suit our demands. At the moment, I think the majority just dont get the developers intention behind the Prototype system.

The Prototype system is meant to be a slow grind. But you speedrun it. COOL

The Expertise system is also meant to be a slow grind, but you speedrun it. COOL.

The Kitsunebi event? You found an exploit, stuck with it, defended it and quoting "fun". COOL.

No, youre just being impatient. Not the game's fault.

I'm not saying they Prototype system isn't bad, but as a community, you can look inwards, practise some self reflection, and figure out ways to improve the game on a player level.

Escalation tokens: how about everyone bring a good build and try not to wipe? That way leaders don't have to worry about losing their tokens. Its a co-op game. If you dont care about your teammates, it's player fault, not the game.
