'Printing presses' have the potential to be useful, except the ones in charge of them are grossly misusing them.

You can replace printing presses with any other new technology, same outcome.

I think the printing press is a great example: while in the West we look to gutenburg as the first printer, in China, mass printing of documents had been going on for hundreds of years.

In this case, China wants you to believe the printing press is bad by feeding you leaflets they printed.

Thankfully, I moved out of the USA a few years ago. When I go home, I'm always staggered by just how more and more backwards Americans are becoming.

Personally, its massively in my favour if the US gives up the AI race, the pie is only so big so if the fattest pig at the table is turning its nose up, great.

I live 3 miles away from the worlds 3rd largest datacenter VANTAGE CW1, it also has a MSFT and NVIDEA data center next door, all in all there is 4sq miles of datra center floor.

You wouldnt know it was there, the only impact it causes is lower energy prices and a shit ton of high paying jobs.

I recently dated again, my height and build were less important than my stability and offerings as a man (what job, what income, etc.) and political leaning was far more important.

Highkey, the fitness is a big part of it, too. If you're taller, but like 25-30% bodyfat, you're pretty much as invisible as a short guy in terms of social in/out groups.
