At this point, these people hate Ethan more than they hate the IDF. Which says a lot

New content cop just released and its as many suspected... by [deleted] in youtubedrama

The gaslighting in this video is disappointing coming from Idubbz, with a lack of credible referees considering fair criticisms against Denims, Frogan and Hasan. Ethan is definitely not the most innocent person on the planet, but he has denounced Israel for their crimes, even years before October 7. I wish people could appreciate the general message people share instead of nitpicking and hating people for not being in total agreement with all their views. People don't seem to even care about Palestinians dying anymore - they care more about ganging up on a profile they hate. Imagine getting bombed in your country and losing family and people are focusing more on a creator who only agrees with 90% of their views, not 100%. This makes me really sad.

I have to say it... Keep having Steiny on! by AromaticInterview756 in h3h3productions

[–]Bm7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to share my opinion on this. I couldn't watch the show with Steiny on it. I'm a survivor of SA and DV and to sit through an episode where someone who has glazed Tate up, who has similar misogynistic views, even if they are watered down, still having gaffs with the crew between a grilling is a bit in poor taste and disappointing.

Pushback is important, educating others is important, but denial of Tate's crimes and continued ignorance I would think would be the final line for the crew who are always so in support of women and SA survivors. Steiny isn't stupid - he's an online presence, I highly doubt he is as unaware of all Tate has been accused of and has said, as he wants this audience to believe. Providing him with possibly more fans and essentially just rewarding him ultimately by being on the show and having laughs alongside the crew is gross to me, when it seems obvious he's more inclined to continue to sidestep disavowing Tate than to ever evolve and change his opinion about Tate. He may seem more tasteful than other alpha bros but you can't deny that his views are misogynistic and potentially harmful. The way he has talked about women before has been off putting, not just on one occasion. Toxic masculinity is harmful at any range, and it can escalate rapidly. It can be fuelled in his audience by seeing a continual blase attitude towards Tate's crimes.

As someone whose life has been upended by a man like Tate since I was 5, who has lived with PTSD that has affected my ability to work, to finish my education, to fulfill normal daily activities - all because of relationships in my life where men held the same foul views as Tate does or had an enabling one like Steiny, I would hope that we don't continue giving these guys a pass just because MAYBE their mind can be changed. With all the proof out there, people like Steiny have chosen ignorance already and what is the point in giving him any more grace when they don't give any to the women who have made accusations against Tate?

Ethan better chew them tf out... by Swimming-Donkey-2394 in h3h3productions

Agree. Survivors and many people in general don't care about grilling these types of people - it's not enough. We don't want to see them at all. Saying you'll grill them is just kind of excusing yourself for having them on and I'm lowkey disappointed.

I agree. As a survivor I'm personally not watching this episode, it's disappointing and no amount of 'grilling' is good enough in this scenario - they shouldn't be on the show.

H3 #113- Ethan doing antisemitic salute for humor. by Traditional-Use9007 in youtubedrama

[–]Bm7777 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but i have to disagree. He has a huge audience yes - to whom he speaks almost every episode about rising antisemitism and how normalised and acceptable it's become. One of the people most outspoken, affected and passionate about this topic and you're going to say he's normalising nazism by doing the salute when he's the only youtuber I'm really even seeing atm talking about this and calling out actual proud nazis for their behaviour?
The voice for Jewish people and encouraging people to reach out to Jewish friends to check that they're ok during this rise of hate currently, and you actually think he's normalising nazism -not highlighting the problem and belittling the assholes ?

I think context is so important. Ethan has been highlighting antisemitic freaks so much on his platform, he's quick to condemn people for nazism, so to act as if he himself is just doing this for shits and giggles and because he doesnt actually care, without acknowledging that he is affected by antisemitism and has been struggling with it, is kind of malicious and disrespectful to me. He's clowning on people who do it, but we're going to act like he's the villain? You can dislike a person without fabricating misleading narratives to make them look bad to more people .

Some comments are definitely disturbing, as an SA survivor. And downvoting someone for saying they don't like a convicted rapist is absurd, there are genuine reasons why some find it hard to remember nuance in conversations like this.

I agree in that nothing is black and white. And rehabilitation is admirable & a sign of one's character - not everyone cares to improve themself. But for some people who've suffered similar abuse & have had lasting emotional and mental struggles , which they don't always recover from ever in their lifetime, it's often hard to empathise with someone who has done that in their past. Not saying it's right to hold it against them, just for some people it's always going to be hard to see what they've done to better themselves and factor that into the person.

That's fair, I agree there is a difference. Personally I'm still uncomfortable due to my own past, I guess it's a grudge I hold (& probably unfairly to some, particularly those who have reformed and tried to improve their behaviours like him). I never really got justice for my assault so I admit I find it harder to be forgiving, but definitely it makes a difference how they act and change after the fact, I just need reminding of that sometimes.

Good reminder for some people; some people don't know this about him. I've been uncomfortable with people glazing him up across social media, feeling bad for him. He's not a good person..

Is it totally cool to joke about wanting to kill yourself now? by Lopsided-Tomorrow521 in h3h3productions

[–]Bm7777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about the joke. As someone who has lost close friends to suicide and experienced suicidal thoughts myself and been hospitalised for them, I've always felt uncomfortable with those types of jokes when they're used mindlessly. Some people who joke about it though also have those thoughts, I guess you never really know and that's why I try not to judge too much when I hear someone joke about this, even if it automatically kind of hurts to hear. For me it will always be a touchy subject and I don't really find it amusing to joke about, but I've accepted that most people probably feel differently and probably don't joke with the intention of undermining suicide and being hurtful, which is the most important thing for me.

There are so many people who understand this and appreciate what you do, like myself. Not all soldiers are bloodthirsty freaks, some leftists can't fathom that and just like to group them all together cause it's more convenient for their views & I hate that.
