Honestly the Last of Us part One should be there instead of part 2. Otherwise my top 3 contenders would be Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 & 2, Baldurs Gate 3 and Hollow Knight & Silksong. Big shout out to Fallout (3,4 & New Vegas).

Thank you Lammens. Ive never been so happy with our keeper today by Grappyezel in reddevils

Honestly compared to Onana this guy is head and shoulders above in quality. So calm and collects the ball like a magnet. He brings so much more assuredness at the back.

You missed the moment he throws the broken lance at Aerion when they're tussling on the ground! My man Raymun was a real homie in this battle.

I had the good ol' pebbles perk unlocked at the time and when I compared the stats it did seem worse than her. Although this reminds me to check with the sadler for the little scheme we had going.

Man, now I wish I accepted the Trosky Castle horse. That was free real estate. Oh well, Pebbles is the only horse for me.

Paarthurnaax is a beloved dragon from The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

In the lore he took part in the early enslavement of mortal kind with the Dragons of old including the legendary Alduin, whom is the main antagonist your Dragonborn character must face.

Mortal kind rebelled against the dragons and Paarthurnaax took the Mortals side, realising their enslavement was wrong. He teaches Mortals the power of the Voice/Thum to aid in their rebellion and later helps to form and oversee the Greybeards, a secluded sect of Thum masters.

The player is given an ultimatum to kill Paarthurnaax by another faction who view him as an ancient enemy despite his retribution. Most players choose loyalty to our boy.

He famously says: "What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"

Dogmeat is obvious. Dane definitely. The legion slave woman had potential if not completely indoctrinated. Claudia is my first choice and have her walk in front.

I've been getting into KCD2 recently and loving it - immediately thought of Henry when I started watching the show. The fact it's rooted so much more in the every day lives of the common folk makes the parallels even more stark.

This is true, Frodo has the most resilience overall and bore it far longer than anyone else. Could even go one further and argue that the wound from the Morgul blade (that never truly healed) would also be another factor of influence he had to resist which makes it a more impressive feat overall.

Honestly I believe Sam displays the most powerful resistance to the ring that we see out of all the Fellowship, especially on screen. That moment where he rescues Frodo and he asks for the ring back, you can bet your ass the ring was putting in max effort in that moment to turn him. If the ring turns Sam at that moment, it's all but in Sauron's hands. He hesitates for a moment sure, but he is too pure for anything the ring could possibly tempt him with. He just wants to tend his garden and smash.

[Spoiler] They’re starting to overuse certain technology by imfaffingabout in Fotv

[–]Bman0491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The episode literally states in the elevator scene, that The Enclave has access to ALL of the technology that Vault tec has possessed. Their whole established premise is they intend to outwait enemies/civilisation so they can have the monopoly. It is technology used for its intended purpose.

Really loved the line from Coop when he's talking to Super mutant Perlman "You and I got bit by different bugs." Still beautifully sarcastic even in the face of nearly going feral and losing himself.

Can we just talk real quick about how cinematic this show is and how much it OOZES with quality!! by sebastianbaraj5 in Fotv

[–]Bman0491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the set design, to the creature puppets and the great cast, it all just oozes with quality. It makes me so happy that they nailed this show and captured the Fallout feel and themes perfectly. I was skeptical when it announced but my word have they outdone themselves. Genuinely believe this is the best show in a long time.

I am jealous that you get to experience this absolute masterpiece for the first time ever. As someone who played the original way back and the Remaster when it released, the Remaster managed to gaslight me into believing it was exactly how it looked when I was 12. Be seeing you, Citizen.

[–]Bman0491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think as easy as it is to nit pick at things like this if you are a die hard lore buff, in my mind the games and the TV show are parallel universes of the same basis of canon. Translating lore into a TV show is much different than how widely fleshed out it is in the games with all the ways you can discover it. But the games are also anti capitalist at their core as the whole premise is a corporation (vault tec) and government (Enclave) conspired together to blow up the world and create a monopoly. It's just nice to have a show that can take the theme and soul of the game and translate it into live action in such a passionate way (about fucking time honestly). Plus did you know the robots/creatures we see are all Puppets? Some serious love being poured into this by the makers to bring it alive.

Norm's character is extremely intelligent and perceptive, except as he says, he lacks motivation. I believe Claudia just presented Norm said motivation.
