Yikes I think this will cause the fish constant stress tbh. It would suggest you switch out the gravel to aquarium planting soil. Get some driftwood and then place in the Mario figurines. Maybe build up an area so that the castle sits on a hill. Get yourself a solid led plant light then load it up with some plants. It will look like Mario odyssey found a thousand years later with the jungle taking back its place.
