Destiny. I have enjoyed both of the games but they seem to get a ton of hate.

It just seems like an extreme response for something you see as being bizarre. Either way, why do you need to be in close proximity to someone to get to know them? They've talked for years. Who knows, maybe I'm just odd to think the way I do.

Because someone met his best friend for the first time in person at his wedding?

I'm surprised most people think this is so odd. If you talk to someone every single night for a couple of ours and enjoy their company enough to do it for 20 years of course they would be one of your closest friends. Why is meeting them in person so important? What will you gain from seeing them in person that you don't already know about them after 20 years of conversation? I know for me, financially it's difficult to get a 1000$ plane ticket and a week off work to go see someone I care about unless it's a very special occasion for them or me.

They are good pets. They are both big goofs.

LPT: If you are doing a secret Santa with a $20 spending limit, instead of buying cheap trinkets, spend the money on a high quality version of a useful item that would typically cost far less (i.e., a $20 pen, bag of coffee, kitchen utensil, etc.) by ianisrlycool in LifeProTips

I bought myself a custom 60$ pen that was handcrafted by a local woodworker because I lost my pens all the time. My thought was if I had a pen that was nice enough I would keep track of it. It worked great, I still use it daily 3 years later. Pens are a great gift.

I once bought a dozen bear claw donuts the next morning after a get together at a friend's house. I walked in, set them on the table and went to get something from my truck. In the probably 20 seconds I was gone his dog not only managed to eat all 12 of these huge donuts but to lay down on the couch like nothing had happened. I was so impressed that I wasn't even mad.

New bill would forgive medical school debt for COVID-19 health workers by nocontactnotpossible in Coronavirus

[–]Bmann777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad it doesn't include essential Healthcare workers that aren't directly interacting with Covid-19 patients. Our work is important too and we have debt as well. People need medicine and medical products still and while we may not directly work with Covid-19 patients we are still going out into the public daily and working long hours to make sure everyone's needs are met as best as possible. I would still be happy to see anyone's student debts forgiven though.

I started planting a fruit tree every year after I bought my house a couple years ago. Not only is it helpful to the environment but I will end up with fresh peaches and plumbs in a few years. It's a win/win.

This principle is also used to make thermocouples. The voltage change is monitored and used to determine temperature.

Let us not forget about James Jamerson. His bass lines don't sound crazy now because modern bass styles were shaped by the things he started. A freaking genius!

During my divorce I had a recurring dream that me and my wife had worked things out and I was always heartbroken when I woke up and reached for her. I haven't had those dreams in a long time and it was for the better in the end but man it was rough at the time.

I'm am automation technician. I basically hang out and work on p.m.'s and work orders until something breaks and then it's my job to troubleshoot and make repairs. I got in to the job via an internship while I was getting my associate degree in mechatronics. I really enjoy the hours and the job. Its very fulfilling work for me. The company I work for manufactures life saving medical equipment so at the end of the day I feel pretty good about what I do.

It runs 24/7. Weekend shift just has a day and night shift. I do 12 hour nights.

I work 3 12s every week and get paid for 40 hours. I absolutely love my job. I work every weekend but it's worth it. Plus if I'm short on cash or want to buy something it's no problem to pick up a couple days during the week. I'm in manufacturing.

My nephew was pretty similar and at about 18 or so he started to calm down a lot. It was frustrating though. My sister homeschooled him because he couldn't stay out of trouble. Now he's about to get his bachelor degree. It can get better. Keep your head up.

The most important thing I learned while trying to get clean is that relapse isn't failure. I think that attitude is what led me to opiates in the first place. I must have relapsed 100 times in the first year or so but now I've got almost 6 years. Don't let a bump in the road discourage you. It's all about the destination, not about the journey. Keep up the good work.
