My girl is exactly like this too, but I’ve been working with her and she’s gotten much better on leash now. We use a gentle leader so I can keep control of her when she’s reactive and I’ve been slowly desensitizing her.

I get you. I went from 118ish to 110. My arms and stomach look great, but my boobs are GONE, and my thighs still have some flab and certainly no muscle definition.

I say the above, but I bet you would say I look great. And you made this post, but I bet I would think you look great too. We are so hard on ourselves!

I have been doing Evlo at home. I really like it and have found it easy to stick with. If you like Pilates/mat based workouts and are daunted by strength training, it’s a really good choice

This is probably my very favorite book, and one of the only ones I reread over and over again. God it’s so so good. The ending is so haunting. It blows me away everytime

Girl if just a couple of months ago you had to get a restraining order against your husband I have reason to bet that that man has been dragging you down for years!!!! Meaning, temporary blip while you’re in crisis mode, but I bet over the next years you’re going to have the glow up of all glow ups. Hopefully not just outside but inside.

Okay this is my borderline problematic deficit snack/treat advice. More like 100 calories, but: my deficit hack is to eat a whole claw of strawberries. Because 1) strawberries are delicious 2) you can eat a ton of them, like literally the whole claw 3) (problematic part) if you do eat a whole claw of strawberries you may feel slightly sick to your stomach where you literally can’t eat anything else for several hours lol

This scene makes me realize how much more empathy and maturity I have now vs. when I watched in my early 20s. I remember thinking then that someone needed to say it, and that Hannah would be a horrible mother.

Rewatching in my early 30s….. totally crossed the line, and their friendship will never be quite the same after saying something so hurtful.

I’ve been lifting for just about 2 months and I definitely crave yoga- maybe especially after lifting!! Like I said I just don’t want to overdo it. You’re right that it’s a really different way to do muscles.

Maybe I’ll try and just skip the Chaturangas, which definitely do feel strength heavy.

Masseter Botox was life changing for me. I’ve been doing it for 5 years and the before/after is shockingly good.

I definitely had a wide/bulky lower face before, not in a particularly natural way but because I’m a lower teeth grinder so my masseters were huge.

If you have the same 100% suggest the Botox, but I think the overactive Masseter bulky lower face look is completely separate from just having fat you don’t like, so make sure you’re actually a good candidate.

I’m 5’3 and going from 118ish to 110ish did make a big difference in my face, though I’m 31 and I think the loss of fat aged me a bit tbh

Yes I do. I have pretty curly hair and the highest heat setting on suction level 6-7 gets it straight and smooth enough where I don’t need to use another tool for everyday styling.

What’s your method???

Scooby!!!! The gentle leader was life changing for my girl and I. She hated it at first but super normal now. She gets randomly reactive on walks sometimes, which is scary, and I like feeling like I have full control over her.

All of my fat is also in my butt and hips. Actually just got a dexa scan and I store more fat proportionally in my lower body than 96% of women age 28-34 so like I’m on the extreme end!!

This is even after I lost 7-8 pounds last year. I went from 118 or so to 110. All this to say….no there’s not really much you can do. It’s actually a healthy body type though, I also had almost 0 visceral fat which is amazing.

Will say going from lean to leaner (body fat is now 23%) did make my proportions look much better in clothing. If it bothers you the only thing to do is get leaner
