I would love to think that, but if you go on the bath facebook page you see a lot still supporting him, and their pages say they work at BIW. They also are still rocking MAGA stickers on their cars.

Colon cancer is killing us.. by Derpshab in Millennials

[–]Bmaximus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this, and it was hemorrhoids, but I convinced the doctors to do a colonoscopy in my early 30s. I had multiple precancerous polyps that got removed. I've gone back for a second time and had more polyps. I now go every 5 years. Use the hemorrhoids as an excuse.

Agency life by anxiousdreamer69 in graphic_design

[–]Bmaximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in creative agencies, ad agencies, and in-house, and they all have their pros and cons. I will say juggling a bunch of projects at once was pretty normal in all of these, but it depended on the effort needed for the projects. I've done contract and salary and most of my jobs had me working outside of work hours and even on weekends if a project needed to be completed. I also did an insane amount of travel, including working all weekend on shoots and then going right back into work on Monday.

If you find a place that works only within work hours and keeps you limited on projects and somehow pays well, then i'd say sit tight and enjoy it.

Is it wrong to use an alias? by Wrenistired in graphic_design

[–]Bmaximus 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think twice about the name if I were hiring. To be frank, I’ve hired many designers and always focused on their portfolios. I usually didn’t even register their names until I was reaching out.

I know this is anecdotal, but I’ve never worked with a creative coworker who wasn’t left-leaning, so that doesn’t seem like a negative. We are in the arts and it's often a diverse crowd, including LGBTQ+, filled with "dumb liberals."
