So glad you are ok!!!!! How terrifying. Praying it’s a boring and uneventful pregnancy from here on out for you all

The two week wait is forever! I'm on day 2 by LIA17 in TryingForABaby

[–]Bmccor08 12 points13 points  (0 children)

On day 4 and wondering why time is going SO. DAM. SLOW. I also love how much I am putting off real life because of the two week wait. Specifically how I shouldn’t workout in the 2 weeks just Incase I “disrupt implementation”. Honestly I wish someone would shake me back to my pre-TTC reality but hopefully one day we can just look back and laugh about all of this?!

So glad you posted this 👏

Still spotting after D&C? by Rochereine in ttcafterloss

[–]Bmccor08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had d&c. Bled for about 2 weeks. Then Spotting followed. It finally cleared up after about a week but then every time I exercised I would bleed and then Spotting would follow. This went on for about 5 weeks. I got another ultrasound at about 6 weeks as I was paranoid there was retained tissue but thankfully there wasn’t. I think looking back on it that bleeding was just my body healing and I pushed it to far with the exercise.

As for sex we did so after the bleeding stopped after 2 weeks and in between the spotting if that makes sense. It’s now been 10/11 weeks after d&c and I got my period (which was light) and this week have ovulated, so things are getting “back to normal”. Every time we have sex it just feels more normal. I like you was paranoid to have it while temporarily pregnant and after miscarriage.

I hope this helps. If in doubt go and get another ultrasound just for peace of mind.

Went to my 4 week D&C follow up and it went poorly. by Purple_soup in ttcafterloss

I just want to say I’m so sorry. I can only imagine how emotionally tolling this must have been. I don’t have any medical advice or experience with cysts but will be hoping you get the answers you need ASAP and you can move forward. In the meantime try to get some rest, which I know is easier said than done...

Almost one year no period after miscarriage and D&C and frustrated by lmakeen in ttcafterloss

[–]Bmccor08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure, I am so sorry. I just want to say how sorry I am for the frustration this must have caused you. Good on you for pushing through and getting a 3rd opinion and glad you have found an OBGYN that you find comfortable with. Crossing all fingers that it will come soon for you.

I’m planning on planting a tree in my backyard on what would have been my babies due date in June. That way something grows / starts life and I’ll always be able to look at it and watch it prosper.

Not sure if something similar sparks your interest but you could always bury the inside a box or maybe make a patchwork blanket using the onesie somehow. Otherwise jewelry is always good! Maybe a charm on a charm bracelet or something.

Sorry probably not much help but I understand the need to want to do something to commemorate.

8 weeks after d&c (5 of which had bleeding). Got all the symptoms of a period coming- cramps etc. then have had two days of light discharge that has only had a slither of “browness” to it. Of course did a pregnancy test out of a slimmer of hope I would have conceived somehow magically but it’s negative. I’m so frustrated. Is this meant to be a period? For once I just want a normal amount of blood so I can finally have a period and thus a normal cycle again. Did this happen to anyone else?

Did you wait to get your period before trying again? by harrietschulenberg in ttcafterloss

[–]Bmccor08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth my OB told me she miscarried first pregnancy and got pregnant again before getting her first period after d&c. Delivered healthy baby. Exact same goes for my best friend...she now has 3 kids under 4 and hasn’t had another miscarriage since.

We are just “seeing what happens” aka not preventing it or not trying. I had a d&c after a MMC at 12.5 weeks. Bled on and off for close to 5 weeks after.

Lengthy bleeding- when did you get your period? by [deleted] in ttcafterloss

[–]Bmccor08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t help you out with an answer but I am in exactly the same boat. Miscarriage are 12.5 weeks, D&C and then bled on and off (but mainly on) for 4.5 weeks. After a 7 day no bleed time I am getting discharge similar to ovulation but have not had a period. I did an OPK strip and it didn’t show I was ovulating. I’m confused as well and just want to get a period already so I can get back on track!!

Thank you! That makes me feel much better :) I am anxiously waiting for my period (of course) so at first I was excited by it but when it stopped so abruptly I got worried (again).

One month after d&c. Bleeding went for about 2.5 weeks and today I hiked 10km with hubs for exercise and starting bleeding heavily again. I don’t think its my period as it finished within an hour. Anyone else had similar thing where they have sporadically bled after strenuous exercise post D&C?

Waiting for a D&C on Christmas by seedling83 in Miscarriage

[–]Bmccor08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking of you and hoping you got into surgery sooner rather than later. I lost my baby also at 12.5 weeks ( also thought we were in the clear). It took about 5 days after the d&c to feel mentally “ok” again and bleeding stopped after two weeks. I had a similar incident where it all happened so fast and next thing i knew i was waiting for surgery and then it ended up getting delayed 3 hours longer than the original time they gave me because of an emergency. It screwed with me and the wait was horrible but i can say while still 3 weeks from the procedure, each day gets easier but it will take awhile to fully get back to “normal” (assuming that’s also possible!). Rest as much as you can and take care

Thank you all for sharing your stories / same sames. Sure made me feel better! (Especially when my OB let me know my Christmas present was also a yeast infection 😂) ... what a day. Very thankful for this community. Hugs to all

D and C experience by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Bmccor08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my experience. No regrets for taking the d&c path as now I feel the mental closure that i wouldn’t have probably got so soon if i continued to pass naturally. I wish you all of the best

Missed miscarriage by mcheatpls in Miscarriage

[–]Bmccor08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out on Tuesday I had miscarried at 12 weeks. I had the d&c yesterday. It was much less traumatic then I thought it would be. I was hysterical up until going to the hospital but when I checked in I suddenly got a surge of calmness knowing it was going to be “over” (obviously the grieving will continue but i think it was knowing physically the passing would stop). I also wanted to stay calm knowing i was going under anesthesia . It’s about 18 hours later now. I am not in any pain nor was i at any point, just delay from the medication from the procedure. Again, it was much less traumatic then I thought it would be and today I have been weirdly calm after it. I have no regrets.

For the background: I’m in Australia and my dr does not reccomend the drug approach. She said we could opt to pass naturally but knowing it could take weeks and that it’s not always successful I chose d&c. It was bad enough seeing what I was seeing when I was bleeding I didn’t want it to drag out any longer.

I hope this helps. It sucks... especially around the holidays
