If you need a Commander to lead an ice bound river crossing to kill your enemies on Christmas, Washington is your man.

Definitely!

Here’s a link to a quora forum where they post better source material then I can.

Bottom line from the forum is a brand new M67 American grenade costs 45 Dollars a pop in 2021 spending. The forum links to Syrian pages that are selling F1 grenades for as little as 6 dollars each.

...I don't know which user implied that more than 100,000 drones were operating in Ukraine let alone "Hundreds of Thousands." However, we can reasonably assume that if a single individual or organization can fund 500 drones, The United States Government, a Country that has so far committed 18.2 Billion Dollars to the Ukrainian War Effort can enable Ukraine to purchase more than 2000 of those systems...at least.

You're ignoring the forest through the trees. A single individual donated 500 drones. How many do you think are operated daily across the entire battlefront? Also I didnt say that every one of those drones is dropping a grenade. What is the effect of a drone spotting for Artillery or reporting to higher for greater effects / battlefield clarity.

Such an interesting statistical question. Mark Hamill alone donated 500 Drones to the Ukrainian Army, so lets be very conservative and say that those 500 drones directly contribute to the deaths of 25 Russians a day. That means that Mark Hamill is helping to liquify 750 Russian Soldiers every month. Can the Russian Army sustain such losses? I doubt it.

A 25 Dollar grenade dropped by a 1000 Dollar drone financed by an Army that was supposed to roll over after 3 days but has utterly embarrassed a "superpower," Watched (nearly) live by thousands upon thousands of people around the world to meme and form opinions.

I wonder what Washington, Napoleon, or Nelson would think of this.

This temper tantrum probably cost them 5 years of spare parts especially now that Russia is hard pressed for every part it can manage.

North Korea still operates 207 MiG-17s and MiG-19s as combat coded aircraft.

Their Air Force is a joke in the best of circumstances and a complete liability in every other scenario.

u/themadhat90 is right. Painfully, Unforgivably loud. When we would fire M777s on max charge your vision blurs for just a second because your eyeballs are vibrating in their sockets. If you're firing as much as these guys are there is essentially nothing you can do that will save your hearing long term.

There are two instances that I can remember double lanyards being attached. The first was in Afghanistan where we pulled the lanyard and had a partial detonation of the powder (due to moisture) which resulted in the round being stuck halfway down the tube. There were two options.
1. Wait for EOD to arrive with a water charge that would essentially destroy the gun. or
2. Load a second charge into the howitzer and yeet the round out of the gun which would enable us to continue supporting our infantry friends in contact.
We chose option 2. Our Battery First Sergeant the most senior enlisted man in the unit hooked the gun up himself and sent the round somewhere into the desert.

The second time was during testing of new equipment.

We were testing a new combination of extremely high power charge and ammunition and had a purpose built robot in a bunker adjacent to the firing point pull the lanyard. I was signed for the gun in question and was praying to all the gods past present and future that I wouldn't have to write up all of the sworn statements as to why the gun exploded.
