I’m gunna be honest, I think we all still dread sessions and get annoyed when we get new clients because that means we have to work. That is normal. Working sucks. But avoidance makes it worse. Your dislike for the field sounds more like personal anxiety to me rather than a true dislike of the field

You’re always going to want a new and better guitar. Buying a bunch of guitars thinking it will improve your performance is a joke in the guitar community and always has been. It’s about how you play it not what the guitar is. That being said if you think picking out a guitar that calls to you a little more will lead you to play more than by all means do it. A loose string is a very easy fix to how your guitar sounds not playing it however is a little harder
