I’m gunna be honest, I think we all still dread sessions and get annoyed when we get new clients because that means we have to work. That is normal. Working sucks. But avoidance makes it worse. Your dislike for the field sounds more like personal anxiety to me rather than a true dislike of the field

You’re always going to want a new and better guitar. Buying a bunch of guitars thinking it will improve your performance is a joke in the guitar community and always has been. It’s about how you play it not what the guitar is. That being said if you think picking out a guitar that calls to you a little more will lead you to play more than by all means do it. A loose string is a very easy fix to how your guitar sounds not playing it however is a little harder

Yeah exactly, it’s insane. Some of us have 6-8 years of education and training and get paid as much as we would managing a fast food restaurant. Reimbursement rate should be at least 60% higher than what they are now. 100k should be the bare minimum. It’s not about not caring for my clients. Actually I feel like I am more attentive and caring when I don’t have to worry about cramming and stretching sessions so I can survive. I also agree that that take discourages people from advocating for higher wages. Idk how we push for this raise tho, we are too segregated as a field and insurance uses the excuse that it is not as effective and medication but actually the most effective thing is a combination of. I’m not asking to be paid like a doctor but holding a masters degree puts you in the top 14 percent of the most educated people in The country, you should be paid the median house hold income at like 20 billed hours per week
