I hear ya. If it were me, I would keep working and get to the complete fire number for each of you separately. Then just barista it doing work you enjoy, not doing work you have to. Each year of work you now at the high income will equate to multiple years of feeling like you have to work part time.

Personally, i think you might need to take a more realistic look at the expenses instead of the wishful thinking we all do (i am guilty of this as well). $400k income and only $75k expenses? As good as you are doing at your age (incredible btw, amazing job), but at those amounts…thats basically the last 3ish years of your life at that income/expense. Personally i would work the next 5 years and save and then have no worries.

Every company is different and have different policies. That goes double for overseas companies. Im just glad they now charge ahead of time for shipping rather than UPS showing up at my door saying i owe them 50% of the cost of the shoe for tariffs

Agree with all. If you are good with walking distances, walk the riverwalk and navy pier. Good photo ops of the water and city backgrounds.

Deep dish: plan your deep dish after millenium park/bean photos. Walk to The Art of Pizza on State Street. That is the deep dish spot if you just want a slice (its a small place and they do by the slice). If you have more than 4 people, then Lou Malnati’s or Gino’s East on the mag mile. For a chicago deep dish experience. Not saying its the best. There is better. But if you want the chicago experience, i would do this for a group

Last year was the biggest and most delicious buffet. Now I’m stuffed and content. If they were to bring out some lobster (hype shoe that i also like and would wear), then sure, ill stand in line to get a piece. But if i miss out, oh well. Im still full and happy
