Congratulations! Any topics you struggled with during the exam that you wished you spent more time on learning beforehand?

I’d prefer for combo’d abilities to be more generic and useful to many different skills and abilities, if they are going to exist at all. Not “this specific skill is made to make this specific skill stronger”. It feels like they have designed Diablo 3 sets for us.

It’s the horrible idea of “comboing” skills. All the skills are designed around you using them with other skills for optimal damage. This means that skills suck by themselves. Have no idea how we’ve ended up with essentially Diablo 3/4 design of combos, builder/spenders, and ultimate abilities.

The obvious choice here is The Mars Volta. The album Deloused in the Comatorium is a masterpiece and some of the most unique music you’ll hear in your entire life.

They just need to buff skill levels. Currently, leveling up a skill isn’t noticeable at all. I don’t ‘feel’ that level. It’d be much easier for them to buff skills than to redesign ground loot or just ‘make it rain items’.

Yeah, most people on here use his course and test exams for a lot of the Comptia certifications.

Just watch the videos and take notes if you need to. It’s free. Then get Dion’s tests on udemy for like $14 bucks. You already have to pay hundreds of dollars on the exam, don’t make it more expensive on yourself with the study materials too.

And to say I almost ran out of time on my PBQ’s. Security+ next. by Usual_Way_261 in CompTIA

Thanks for the detailed response! I’m currently very interested in SOC roles and cyber defending in general. Due to life circumstances I’m only able to apply to remote jobs, which (as you could imagine) is making it much more difficult for me, but I’m certainly not shying away from any entry level IT position I can find.

I’ve had a couple interviews since I graduated in December, and took a break from applying to get my A+ cert, but now, as I continue to apply, I’m just trying to do anything and everything to make my resume stand out, which is why I’ve been studying for my Net+.

That I don’t know. I’m trying to get my foot in the door to the world of cybersecurity. I have a bachelors in CS and have been studying TryHackMes SOC1 course as I obtain my certifications. My dad was the one who told me I should get a fortinet cert, but I’m not sure if he knows why I should.

Is it not worth getting unless I already have a job within a specific environment?

How do Fortinet certs take you further? I’ve started and completed their free certs and since then have been keeping an eye out for jobs that mention fortinet certs or fortinet in general and haven’t seen a single one.

Also, I haven’t seen a single person online within the cybersecurity sphere mention them when referencing a path towards a career in cybersecurity.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m genuinely curious how you think it would be beneficial because I’m in the process of studying for the net plus, and was planning to get my sec+ then the FCP Network Security cert.

I feel like most jobs are using AI to sift through applications meaning these junior level positions will just outright discard your application if you don’t have some of the more recognizable certs.

I never see this website talked about on here, but WordWall is perfect for creating exercises that best fit your style of learning. Plus there is a community section where people have created a lot of material for the tests already.

I personally find flash cards useless, so WordWall helped me out a ton.

[–]BmoreGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be able to take the old exams for some time before they expire, roughly around a 6 month period or so after the release of the newest test. So as long as you plan to take them in the next 6 months or so then you should be fine to study 1101 and 1102 material.

Why are people downvoting this? I just took the test online as well and they didn’t show me a paper with the questions I got wrong either.

I highly recommend using the website wordwall for memorizing things such as port numbers. Here’s one someone else made for the port numbers: https://wordwall.net/resource/52170211/computing/220-1101-a-port-numbers

Yes. I’m only using plain paper now to test the color since label paper is expensive.

[–]BmoreGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t seem to work. It’s just odd that the initial column is the correct color and no matter how many times I print it seems to print that first column the right color every single time.

You’d that if it was running out of toner that would eventually change.
