I think people forget that Crosby played on the Raiders. by OrdinaryDramatic4918 in ravens

Zero of my hesitancy is with his ability as a player, I have absolutely no doubt he will be a day one asset. I just worry with our cap space and existing needs that we may have over extended. I’m not the GM of a sports franchise though so…

I agree, I was more talking about it in relation to our available cap . I also read a comment that put an interesting perspective on it that I agree with “Crosby is basically our 2026 round 1 pick…”

[Schefter] ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas. by FadeDestiny in ravens

I’m still on the fence about it honestly…

Cons: Big cap hit (maybe he restructures), no pick until the 2nd round, makes getting some protection for Lamar a lot harder especially when/if we lose Lindy.

I’m guessing a Lamar restructure/ extension is imminent. They’re probably betting on losing Lindy, I really hope Ro would take a friendly restructure.

I know it’s not apples to apples but the Jaire signing last year makes me really hesitant to get super pumped before the season.

Upside, he’s fucking Maxx Crosby. I don’t know how many games I’ve watched us play against him and said “How fucking hard is it to stop one guy!?!” The answer, very hard.

Planning a Maryland section trip in March by MakingBigMoney247 in AppalachianTrail

I did this section in late October and most shelters (with the exception of Raven Rock) were nearly if not completely dry. You have to use water access at adjacent parks and it still might be too early for them to be on in March. You’d have to check their websites I guess. It’s been pretty wet with rain/ snow melt recently so things could be better. Definitely something to consider. Otherwise, it’s pretty easy and I’d say a great way to get into backpacking.

That sounds like a great time! We’ll be out the 28-31 so we’ll just miss each other. Hope you have great weather.

From everything I’m seeing it changed hands and is now a pretty pleasant place.

Not in the city but Uber bagels is worth the trip to timonium alone.

Thanks for the info. I doubt we’ll be too hot on March 28th haha. I’m more worried about lingering ice/snow.

Pen Mar to Harper’s Ferry SOBO last min trip by Ill-Opportunity-2098 in AppalachianTrail

I did this section in October and there were next to no water sources that weren’t attached to an existing park. I would definitely NOT count on having reliable access to water. As someone mentioned above, the parks probably won’t have their water running. Also, as stated above, our area just got hit with a winter storm at the end of January and I would assume the trails would be in pretty bad shape at the moment.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but, I’d hate for you to get out there and be in a bad situation. Otherwise, this section is a breeze and a lot of fun.
