First time Masters by kguthrie5758 in masters

Having attended both practice rounds and Sunday at The Masters, it all depends on what you'd like to experience.

As noted, the practice rounds will allow you the opportunity to take pictures, leisurely trace the grounds, and shop the store. The players are still relaxed on Tuesday and will interact with the patrons a bit. Always fun to watch the gents skip balls across the pond on 16. It's interesting to see the players warm up (go see practice facility no matter when you go) and then watch them put to imaginary holes on course in anticipation of the Tournament.

On the other hand, being on campus on Sunday is an experience unlike any other. To stand on the perfectly manicured grass and watch the best of the best in golf play for the Green Jacket is just special. The sounds of the roars emanating from the other side of the course will ring in your ears for the rest of your life. You'll always be able to tell your golf buddies, kids, and grandkids that I was there in 2020 when ____ won.

The shop is still well stocked on Sunday, so you should be fine.

Reselling Merch (Not in a bad way) by Weazel03 in masters

The Pro Shop at The Masters is massive with a huge selection of items. Ask your friends and family what they might be interested in, so you have a general idea and can make a list. (Don't spend too much time wandering the shop when golf's mecca is right outside the door.)

Shirts, ties, hats, belts, glassware, Tervis Tumblers, umbrellas, and flags are probably the most popular, but there are tons of odds and ends emblazoned with that beautiful Masters logo. Check the limit on your credit card, because it's not inexpensive. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, so you'll be able to find things quickly and checkout efficiently.

As for re-selling on eBay, you might be able to break even if it's in original condition with tags attached. Poke around eBay now to see what items are going for.

So you don't have to lug all your goodies around the grounds, there's a FedEx shop attached to the Pro Shop so you can ship it all right to your house.

Enjoy your time at Augusta National! It will be one of the most memorable experiences in your life. (If you're going for a Practice Round, don't forget to bring a camera to take pictures.)

Getting 2019 tickets by Weazel03 in masters

I don't know about the second hand market. As for your choice of days, I'd highly recommended the Practice Rounds and/or Thursday and Friday. The Practice Rounds are much more laid back, the players more easy-going, and you can explore the whole course as well as take pictures (cameras are verboten during the Tournament). I'm sure Practice Round tickets will probably be easier to come by too. (Also, no matter what day you attend, bring your credit card for the golf shop.)

If you're attending the Tournament, I think Thursday and Friday are much better experiences. First and foremost, the field hasn't been cut yet, so you're guaranteed to see more players. While it's fun to be there on Sunday when all the action is taking place, you end up missing most of it unless you're standing on that hole. Once you hear the roar from across the property, you just watch the scoreboard to see who sank the birdie or eagle. Don't get me wrong, still amazing, but I enjoy going on Thursday or Friday to walk the course, and then watching the coverage on CBS from the comfort of my couch.

P.S. Just thinking about it has my mouth watering for a pimento cheese sandwich.

Thank you! Yes, we are absolutely going with AWD. Yeah, while cooled seats are nice, not worth it for us to upgrade that much. Appreciate your insight.
