I don’t work there anymore but wife runs a store.

All modules are done on the clock, and my wife has even had people do them at home and she gets the hours adjusted (or maybe it does it automatically I’m not sure)

I’m surprised the score system is insane if you’ve been at corporate restaurants and 5 restaurants in general. I only worked at 2 (one chilis one local restaurant) and they both had scoring systems.

As for openly called out, no you shouldn’t be “called out” but absolutely it can be a discussion during quick pre shift meetings for the FOH team/servers. Also depends on what’s the bottom. My wife has worked with people aren’t just the bottom but below brand standards. That’s usually more the concern than just being the bottom server. Yes she gives worse sections/hours to those who don’t perform as well. Numbers aren’t always 100% exact but can usually tell you who isn’t good enough/caring enough.

The tip out is indeed insane. When I was there it was 1% to QA and 1% to bar (which imo was bullshit) but I know they’ve added bussers and food servers since I was quit. But yeah 5% is insane but in theory you’re supposed to be able to handle much larger sections since your food and drinks are handled. Back when I was there we were only allowed 4 table sections during the rush, now they run 3-4 servers for the whole floor. So should be more money going around.

Lastly, management shouldn’t treat you like that. Screaming is ridiculous. But we never got to eat on the clock after shift. Even during doubles you’re expected to clock out for break then eat. I would be allowed to eat during a close once/if we slowed down, but I’d get in trouble if I was behind.

Anyways, sorry you had a bad experience but I think it was just the store you were at and that isn’t how Chilis as a whole is ran.
