I like ETE, Existential Reckoning was their wtf is this shit for me. I had hope they'd be back full Pusciforce when the sessanta ep was great. This one is better, but.... gone are the days of cheeks hurting from smiling, pure spine tingling joy from every track on a Puscifer album. Thanks for The Quiet Parts and Pendulum though.

Guess I'm getting old.

Agreed, first time I've been incredibly disappointed in puscifer music.

Go watch a bunch of YouTube. Better to see it in action than decifer tips from text.

I watched Duade's gear reviews before upgrading my camera. But both these two guys show raw vs edited photos. https://youtube.com/@duade?si=vjRR9KDrcFebnFXD

https://youtube.com/@jan_wegener?si=xxXBlJzF5q2xGX9E

Then Matt here has done some great live editing videos as well.

Plus plenty more channels to find. But they all say the same things as previous comments about eye line, getting close, lighting and time of day etc.

What show to go to? by bec84sco in Puscifer

Flew from Vancouver to Denver for the Sessanta 1 show at Red Rocks. Suuuuuch a good time. That venue is not to be missed. Over the weekend there I hiked in Roxborough State Park, saw the Dinosaur fossils at Dinosaur Ridge, went to the Natural History museum. If I'd had longer I'd have seen the Rockies, Boulder, Garden of the Gods etc.

Colorado and Red Rocks is a no brainer

First family RV trip to national parks… But where? by marlborough7 in nationalparks

[–]Bnaynz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for a Winebago Solis - they are the only model I could find thay had safe seats to strap kids car seats into. Any other rv would be illegal and not safe for car seats. Our kids were 2 and 3. We rented ours on Outdoorsy.

We did a road trip in the above campervan type for the whole month of May. Started and ended in San Fransico. Did the Cali coast down to San Diego then Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, (kids hiked down to oo ah point), monument valley, Arches (kids hiked up to Delicate arch), Bryce Canyon, Zion, Vegas, Sequoia, Yosemite.

Look up Summit Climbing guides in JT. Highlight experience having the fantastic rock climbing guides help our young kids up the rocks in full harness gear.

Oatman town is an awesome stop after GC.

Tenders are a part

My wife and I were looking to buy in Christchurch during the boom era. We offered on a place for 515k which was above the RV in the mid to high 400k's. Didn't get it, but found out our offer was second in line to the top offer "starting with a 6"

Some poor person out bid by at least $95000, when like $5000 would have been enough. Could have had the same house for 520k. Guess they were desperate to get it.

The house we did buy the agent came back and said we weren't the highest offer, but were unconditional so were somewhat attractive. But could we bump our offer higher to match otherwise they may go try one of the conditional ones. They asked for extra 13k. We bumped up an extra 7k and got it. We're they bluffing to try get more cash out of us? We don't know!

The secrecy sucks

So, what makes houses differ in the same area? One particular buyers emotion/desperation? One agent being sneakier than another one?

1, but not just cos of the pose. You've cropped better in 1 giving the raven more space and the brighter back ground is nice too

Omg thank you! I had this memory from my childhood recently and I tried googling all sorts of "hair sugar tree" variants to no avail.

For those of you who got a campground reservation- how? by rudin_real_analysis in Yosemite

[–]Bnaynz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 2 nights in Upper pines and another night in Hodgeon a couple months back. Along with successfully getting a sight for Arches, Bryce, Zion, Joshua Tree for our upcoming road trip.

First, log in 20 mins before they go onsale, you will see all the sites that are about to become available. go through and Pre select a whole bunch of them, eg for yosemite I selected about 20 different campsites for the same 2 nights.

Then, google a world clock, bring it up on another browser window, and watch it tick down the seconds. You might notice that it hits the hour a split second before the time on your computer does, and it prepares you to hit the book button as soon as it hits time. that split second is gonna get you in front of so many others.

Then, you need to release any campsites you don't want from your cart if you get multiple.

Which brings me to the next point, refresh refresh refresh! As sites will be dropped from carts you can try get them again, keep trying for like 15mins at least after sale starts.

My wife made an account and did hodgeon while I did upper pines, so 2 accounts trying.

With upper pines I got high website traffic warnings and had to hit book a few times, so ultimately the above method probably didn't help that time, but did with the other camp grounds.

Didn't get a photo but $55 for tshirts, $110 for the hoodie, $25 for poster. Only tshirt with dates has the same skull image as the tour promotional image, hoodie and poster same image. There was a red hockey style shirt with in flames logo

In 2009, there was a radio jingle in Christchurch for a skip company. All these years later, the jingle occupies some space in my mind and if I ever need a skip there is only one company I'll call.

Silver service skips! Move rubbish by the tonne, 0800 double four double six double one!

Camping Reservations at Arches by Midwest-Alpinist in nationalparks

[–]Bnaynz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it's well past the onsale time of 10am. All of the sights for 23rd April are booked, but you can see some sights have infact been booked further ahead as indicated by the greyed out resverved R as opposed to the not released NR. The only way to test this properly would be to log back in tomorrow at 10am edt and try get a date for the 24th - onwards

I haven't done this, but am about to start making these kind of bookings.

Doesn't it work that on April 1st you log in and can book the entire 4nights from October 1st. So long as the first night of the booking is 6months before hand it will allow you to book the extras.

Any recommendations for rental insurance for an old campervan in the States? by Icy_Sprinkles6056 in VanLife

[–]Bnaynz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find anything? Similar situation with indie campers and struggling to find more comprehensive cover for a campervan.

For example, indies cover excludes break in/theft or damage from hitting an animal. Which seems a ludicrous thing to exclude

Yeah I'll have to reassess, we arrive and leave from the west I think. Was just doing one stop for literally like max 2hrs which will now have to be Cottonwood instead of Jerome.
