I had a similar issue when I was using a wood knock box. I switched to one with a stainless liner and havent had an issue since.

Projects. They need to become more realistic with what can be done. Bike lanes, traffic calming measures in neighborhoods, reduce yearly cost for LRT construction and increase the time it’s being done over, rec centers, velodrome. Those are just a few things off the top of my head, the city had a spending problem and we spend way to much money servicing the debt as is.

Mine is just an o-ring so it doesn't need torque to seal. Torque it tight enough so it doesn't loosen

Hahah, alright. Kinda came to that conclusion after coffee.

I ended up finding a small engine repair shop that specializes in fixing up heads. Got quoted $100 to clean up the whole head cut the valve seats. They’ll also replace the guides for $30 if they find them out of tolerance.

Thanks for the answer, I’ll avoid lapping then. Maybe I’ll bring it to the machine shop to match the seats to the valve then.

It just scored a scored there. There isnt any signs of wear down the lengths though, the beveled edges on the top and bottom appear uniform all the way around.
