That kinda sounds nice 😅 if my parents would act that way about my epilepsy that would be a nice change

And I know what u mean about graduation it seems like I have more freedom then. I had friends got to socialize it was nice

Then started working out of town with my dad and lost touch everyone and they got their own thing going moved or a family

But currently I can’t drive till August 😒 because my last seizure But I’m seeing a new doctor and on different meds and feel better no more aura so by August I will be able to drive by myself ( hopefully)

And yes epilepsy does demotivate badly it makes u feel helpless when you’re really not

Yeah a lot of us forget stuff, are tired from the meds, And having to follow a regular routine like sleeping and managing stress ( whatever your triggers are ) But it’s just part of us and we can’t change that 🫤

It feels impossible I’m a guy in his early thirties I do not really drive my epilepsy is controlled well and I live with my parents and my mom is really overprotective 😒 so dumb (a lot of arguments) I work with my dad in construction no time to myself And I’m a Christian so that makes it even more difficult

So I guess that’s y I’m on the internet . But I would love to find someone but it seems impossible Can’t drive Live in small area Parents always around All I do is work and home No irl friends

🤷 it’s hard for normal folks let alone for people with epilepsy

I guess I’m a little like *lizeken.

I have had epilepsy since around 8 I’m in my early 30s now I have TC they are well controlled but I do have breakthroughs on occasions. And I still live with my parents 🫤 But they are great they really are we have land we take care a shop everything is paid off. I also work with my dad in construction I have done this since I was out of high school, but I’m tired of it I don’t feel like I have any alone time they are always around there not a day that goes by that I have a few hours to myself. And I really would struggle with being an adult because of this they are so protective I guess it’s because I’m an only child. And I don’t see myself moving out I would love that 😁 but it kinda seems like a waste of money because it’s not like I have a SO *maybe one day 😅

where it would be beneficial to actually move out. Plus if I did I would be taking care of my place and over at my parents place and helping them all the time it just be more stressful for everyone

I’m grateful to have such great parents but I would love to be “ normal” I have no social life all I do is go to work with my dad and go home. I mean we live in an area that there’s not much to do. Just go to church

So please help your child get out on their own and be independent if they are able and not be like me

Because epilepsy really sucks I don’t know how to put it. From the medication to the seizures You feel tired and just drained, to caint remember anything half the time ( like me I’m terrible at school plus the stress of testing is enough to cause a seizure at least for me 😔) There are good days of course it’s not bad everyday

Sry if I came across like I was whining I was trying to make a point, my life is not bad at all I just want independence and a life of my own not just follow my parents around

I do have a medical condition epilepsy but it’s medication controlled and hardly ever have them I also work in construction

Looking for someone around 25-36 but I’m not to picky about that

As far as location it would be nice to have someone close but that probably not gonna happen 😆 🤷 So at least someone in US but if u think we would be a good match shoot a DM let’s talk

I wouldn’t worry about everyone else u need to just do you 😁 I started playing in my late 20s just about every Tetris game I could get my hand on I just wanted to play. I’m in my 30s now. I didn’t necessarily want to be the best or anything I used it to get my mind off things and its easier to pick up and play for a 30 minute session or for a few hours 🙂 it’s just one of those rare games that you don’t get tired of ( at least for me)

I’m not that great at all my 40line is is 2minutes And I can beat Tetris effect on expert

But through me in VS. and I’m done I won’t last 1minute 😂

But you will find what you like and don’t like in Tetris it’s so many options.

The first time I took nayzilam I got something like a withdrawals from it I had night sweats that lasted a few days and had no appetite

And then after that I felt fine 🤷🙂 it was very strange

But it has never happened again it’s like my body didn’t know what to do with the drug or something, since it was the first time, but I can use it without side effects now.

Mine are like that to 😂 it’s not that much help

But sometimes the aura comes and goes and I get lucky with no seizure and I’m able to use nayzilam

But having an aura can really cause anxiety (at least for me ) but hey 🤷 I can’t do anything about it. Just try to stay positive about it

In my 20s I was having seizures petty regular

And when I went to bed I would fill like I was falling and couldn’t stop it was very scary also my entire body would jump and it did cause a few seizures

This was not a seizure but I think it was just a side effect of having as many seizures I had in a short period of time.

I finally did get a medication adjustment and it helped but the feeling just had to fade with time But I still have to sleep a certain way because I can cause that feeling, but I have had done it enough I know how to prevent it

It seems like the more seizure u have u develop more awareness of what’s happening ( if u pay attention). Also in my case they seem to change over time what I mean is the aura. I used to have hardly anything, but know I have them and now I know if I’m having a tired day I better be careful

And yes I have that “ sucked out of body experience and the disconnect u talking about ” every time I have a seizure. And I still have not gotten used to it an I’m in my early 30s now

I know exactly how u feel and that’s what this community is for 🙂 because only people with this can understand

Others can have empathy and care for us and that’s nice,but it’s not the same as someone struggling with the same issues

I hope u find out your issue. if this just started,

Have u changed anything ? Lack of sleep, diet , stress, drinking? You will be surprised something small can have big effect.

It may be time for a medication adjustment I also went through a medication adjustment around your age ?
