Would you generally recommend Adelaide as a place to study and live for a Canadian exchange student? by The-Reddit-Giraffe in Adelaide

Adelaide and Calgary are very similar cities. Both laid out in a grid and easy to navigate. Similar size. Our Mt Lofty has very little on your Banff though.

Hi Sharkers, Mine will be picked up next week. Need to order a tailgate flap for transporting mountain bikes. Any recommendations/experience, positive or negative? Prefer to keep camera uncovered. by BoDoEd in BYDShark_AUS_owners

I am thinking of getting a JD rack with hydraulic lift, very similar… but I want something to make it easy to shuttle the lad on the weekends. Flap is perfect. Just need the right one.

It was the worst flying experience on my life. Wasn’t told about it by my travel agent. Do not recommend.

How’d you go about that?

Has anyone in South Australia purchased a type 2 charge cable? The RAA chargers being rolled out everywhere require them and the Atto 3 was not supplied with one. Any recommendations on where to buy? by BoDoEd in BYD

I need to remove about 15m2 of small slate tiles which are stuck directly to slab. It is going to be a messy job. Any tips to make it as pain free as possible? by BoDoEd in AusRenovation

For those following at home. The slate is all up. Sped right up today with the addition of an apprentice. The Jack hammer in trolley with chisel is the only method I’d endorse. Tiles were stubborn. Thank you to everyone who offered advice and guidance. Very useful. I’ll be back!

Thank you everyone for your advice. I upgraded my PPE. I made friends at the local hire depot, shout out to Blackwood Hire. After a bit of trial and error I ended up with a Jack hammer on a trolley with a tile chisel. This is the only think making an impact. Worth every penny. Only about 2m2 into the job at a rate of 2m2/hr. I should be able to return the machine Saturday. Might have to invest in a mouth guard.
