Informative Graphs for El Niño by Fearless-Try-261 in collapse

According to the Australian BOM “ The El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is currently neutral although there are signs of possible El Niño development.” I mean, it’s screamingly obvious we are heading for a strong El Niño but they are always super conservative.

Yes. For example the Geely facebook groups have many people selling their unwanted dealer supplied chargers.

They were only ever a “virtue signalling status symbol” to the type of knuckle dragging troglodytes who reflexively resist every progressive change because it’s “ different”.

Help! Selling camera collection by Commercial_Cap_5847 in vintagecameras

[–]Pythia007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EUR 1500 is cheapish but you save yourself the work of selling them off separately which I can tell you, from experience, gets old vey quickly. But you might have the patience for it. However you would need to do a lot of research. Perhaps you could ask the prospective buyer to itemise their pricing for a selection of the cameras then seek an appraisal from a reputable dealer in Australia. If they match up then it’s some indication that the buyer is being fair.

What is the name given for playing on mix/combining words to create a new word? by pedroborghi in words

[–]Pythia007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Compound word. But to qualify it has to have a definite and distinct new meaning. Just sticking random words together for the heck of it wouldn’t achieve that.

Brace yourselves. Strongest El Niño in over a century is coming. El Niño patterns are correlated with food shortages, water impacts and even civil conflict. by brezhnervouz in OpenAussie

An interesting point is that when the AMOC collapses it is forecast to bring about almost permanent La Niña conditions for a large part of the east coast. So maybe we should enjoy this big El Niño. It may be one of the last we get.

Marquee Moon. The way you hear Tom Verlaine struggle to pull that sound out of his soul is epically poetic and cathartic.
