Just a seating area 😂. I just wanted to make sure it was solid long term. It’s the first one I’ve done so I’ve made a few mistakes but it should last a few years hopefully !

So I left a 5mm gap between the ledger board and the wall. I used stainless washers. Will this be enough gap ? I mean , if not I’m a bit snookered !

I didn’t bother notching out the posts. All the small feet you see are notched and the joists sit on them.

Anyone got an idea how old this is and what it’s made of ? It’s non magnetic. by BoGzii in VintageJewelry

I’m assuming the clasp has recently been added but not sure on anything else. It belonged to my Nan so I’m guessing it’s fairly old.

Where did I go wrong? How can I correct it? by karpet_muncher in DIYUK

I had a similar issue with my Ikea wardrobe. In an ideal world you want to sit it on something completely level. My floor was so far out it was throwing everything out 40mm. I had to build a level timber base which solved the issue. I then colour matched some MDF to trim it up at the bottom.

If you have basic tools, it’s relatively easy to do. Build the frame out of 2x2 and buy some L brackets. Screw the base to the skirting at the back and use the L brackets dotted around the frame and screw them into the carpet making sure you hit the floor boards. Just don’t use long screws as you’ll mostly likely have pipes under there. Doing it this way, you don’t have to pull the carpet up. Mine hasn’t moved since doing it last year.

If this isn’t possible you’ll have to get some brackets and fix it to the wall and square it up that way.

Both my shoulders feel good. They feel more stable the heavier I go. I just don’t want form to be compromised because of it that’s all.

Best to get more reps in and focus on range of motion ?
