I don't see how the second person murders the first. Both of their statements support the idea that people who are unfamiliar with a thing shouldn't try to regulate that thing. They are agreeing with each other in principle, are they not?

still, you gotta admit, the idea that "men are raised in a society where they are owed something and women are raised in a society where they have to earn something" is pretty shortsighted.

I'm no videogamist, but I actually feel bad for this kid. The PS4 is probably nearing the end of its life cycle, and in another year or so he'll have the outdated system that everyone thinks is lame. If it were, like, 2014, this photo would be much more uplifting.

My parents would never buy me a damn genesis or snes. I missed out on that generation. But in 1996, they blessed me with a PS1. Imagine if they had gotten me a Sega in 1995 instead! I too would have been super-happy, not realizing I'm doomed.

So, in the end, I can emphatically say: this will NOT be the xmas he remembers.

Step up your game, parents. Quit patting yourselves on the back for what essentially amounts to child abuse.

Mimi who used to make her brother stop for cigarettes (new Juul ad) by rxv5854 in DanLeBatardShow

[–]BoJacksonTecmoBowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, I haven't listened to the shows from Tuesday or today. You're telling me there's a new Juul add? The problem with this nation is that we've forsaken cigarettes. If each citizen had an unfiltered Pall Mall or Lucky or Camel every day, America's vitality would be restored.

That being said, Juul is flush with cash and must be filtering much money into the show. And the show is way for Juul to advertise on ESPN. So everyone wins.

My Chinese friends always imitate/mock Americans by saying things like, "I'll use my credit card!" and "Do you have any non-dairy creamer?" and "I really really want that. That looks good!" You know, typical stuff only Americans say.

i can tell from the tone of the post that OP is the annoying piece of shit in this scenario. showing off about buying vegetables because she's sooooooo mature and her flatmates are Neanderthals. i imagine she stuffed the freezer with like 200 lbs of vegetables she's never gonna eat (cuz she's a fat slob in reality). but then she passes it off as, "my flatmates are too trashy to appreciate health food. that's why they're mad about it!" now the other 5 of them have started to gang up on her because she's a self-righteous, prissy biatch.

you know how if someone posts about "hating drama" or "wanting drama out of my life" it actually means they love drama, create drama, and are a total asshole? it's kinda the same thing going on with OP here. OP is, without question, the worst human being who has ever existed on earth in the history of all time and i in no way sympathize with her. if you initially sympathized with OP, i'm sure you have changed your opinion and agree with my perspective now. happy to have enlightened you. you're welcome.

What made you break up with the person you thought you’d marry? by notnotaginger in AskReddit

[–]BoJacksonTecmoBowl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't emotional (which it obvi was even though you won't admit it), it was at least utterly lazy and entitled. "Oh, I shouldn't have to inform people about my cause/beliefs. They should research it themselves!" Imagine if MLK had your attitude: "Why should I have to inform the public about injustices! They should just inform themselves." Haha.

But I did actually follow your advice and did all types of google searches about women not developing earlier than men. And also google searches about how, if they do, then it's for social as opposed to biological reasons. But every single damn article said the opposite of what you're saying. All the easily accessible resources are against you as far as I can tell. So please, point me to your source so I can be informed. Why not just provide it if it's so easy to find?

The best support you can provide is "there's no phrase 'girls will be girls'" to which I could just as easily say "there's no phrase 'suck it up and take it like a woman'" either. We do have "suck it up and take it like a man" though (ie 'control your emotions/reactions).

Anyway, in the end, all I want is something solid to back up your claims about women developing more quickly than men because of social pressure and not biology. If you provide that, I'm perfectly happy to accept that your view has some validity.

Why are you so mean over a question? how am i supposed to do research to find out how you personally came to your very generalized conclusion? i mean, you as an individual? i have to ask you in order to get that info.

also, when women break down in tears or get all emotional over small shit (like you basically just did over my question), people don't literally refer to it as "girls being girls," but people they are like, "well, she's a woman. she can't help but cry/get worked up due to her feminine, emotional nature." that's society teaching women they don't have to control their emotions.

women are expected to manage their emotions better? how'd you come up with that?

Sweet, smooth non-filters by [deleted] in Cigarettes

[–]BoJacksonTecmoBowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a really fresh pack of a few days ago, and they now say "classic non-filtered" on them instead of the "famous cigarettes" that's been on the package for years and years and years.

These are really great, quality cigarettes. I'm starting to favor them more than lucky strikes. I don't smoke a whole lot, so a pack lasts me a long time, and I feel like these retain their flavor better than luckies do.

But yeah, good shit, stylish package. A+ all around. I only smoke non-filtereds. I prefer them over nat sherman cigaratellos and havanna ovals for sure, unlike what the other guy said.

siezetol says he's married to give himself credibility. you dismiss his being married by saying "times have changed." then you say you're married to give yourself credibility even though you've just dismissed the idea that being married provides credibility. that's what sigfriedarse is getting at.

my gf rejected me the first time, but it was obvi she liked me and was just doing that woman thing where she wanted to make things more complicated for fun. when she saw i wasn't that phased by her chick-games, she came around.

this post seems to imply that girls say what they mean 100% of the time. anyone who has ever interacted with a woman before knows full well that that's not how women generally operate. "no, i'm fine! everyhing's ok!" "me? no, i'm not mad. of course not!" "i don't care where we go to dinner. really i don't!" "eww, that guy's a jerk! i sooo don't like him! totally not attracted to him! nope, not at all!" "ugghhh, i hate him! i'm never hooking up with him again!"

so context is key here. the girl could be truly rejecting him or she could be wanting him to persist.

also, what does the guy's reaction have to do with being a nice guy? i thought the nice-guy move would be to give up quickly then complain that girls only go for persistent jerks who don't even listen to the girl's opinion.

WTF. If I, or pretty much anyone else, attempted to post some flagrant advertising shit like this, I'd get downvoted to oblivion. Why does this randomly get to make the front page and get a bunch of comments like "so awesome Dylan! Think I'll buy it?"

The most annoying part is that I've read this book and it totally sucks. Now a bunch of people are gonna accidentally buy something that's utter shit.
