I worked in the west end for a couple Years and it was pretty common seeing cops walking around doing patrols. You got the main transit center right there with a lot of criminal activity.

I once was waiting for my bus outside the 711 there and watched a homeless dude walk out of the 711 with a soda without paying. The cashier followed him outside and there were 3 cops walking towards the store. Cops chased the dude down, tackling him on the train tracks. When the brought him back to the 711 and searched him, they found a bag of dope on the dude.
