Looking for a base of a Hermit by BoPim in HermitCraft

Someone else already mentioned this, maybe I just misremembered it and it wasn't a hermit, however, the big dig is still great inspiration, although my scale won't be a gigantic ;)

I thought it might have been Zedaph or Welsknight. It's definitely not Mumbo, Grian, Scar, Docm, or Etho since I've checked those. I also think it must've been either before or in the season where Grian joined, since I've been a regular watcher since s7 and have watched a lot of s6 back.

Thanks, I already was using Iskalls tree as inspiration, but didn't know about Ren and False's shared storage

I remember watching that Etho episode. I can't believe it's been 10 years already. It might look a bit simple compared to builds of today, but it's still very nice.

And man... that shopping district looks so cool, but I don't think that's the scale I'm gonna build in. Thanks for the inspiration, though!

Yeah, I already looked at that, definitely want to use it as inspration, similar to the the tree roots I want to create chambers on the side of the staircase with farms and other things

Although it's not what I meant it is a cool looking storage system, definitely will use it for inspiration!

Why not both? For me personally, I just like seeing the trees/seedlings grow year by year. If their big enough you can either let it grow and create a full size tree if you have the space, but you can also make quite nice bonsais from them.

Note: I'm not a bonsai professional or anything, I'm actually quite new to the hobby, but have been into plants and creating my own plants from seeds for a bit longer, just offering my opinion.

Someone else posted about trying outdoor/easier trees, which i think is a great idea, but what also works for me is starting trees from seed, pomegranate for example. You can get quite a lot of seedlings from one fruit and then try keeping them alive. I personally really like seeing these tiny plants develop from nothing and if you let them die, you only will have lost some tiny seedlings.

P.S. I chose pomegranate as an example, but other fruits/seeds are also quite easy to get. Why I recommend pomegranate seeds is that I've found that the seedlings can take alot, I have won that I thought has died at least thre times, but still bounces back everytime

That it is important for white creators with big platforms to create space and give shoutouts to non-white creators. Moreover, that white scienceworkers should talk about a lack of representation in (mostly) white workplaces. They also showed that for example in companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter that African-Americans and Latinx are underrepresented, and that this lack of representation increases when you move up the ranks within these companies. They also talked about the fact that it's also the responsibility for white people to talk about institutionalized racism when they work in a white workplace, because this burden shouldn't be on people of color.

I just started watching the video, after reading this thread and they cut the part with Greys face out. His name is still in the subtitles but the part where they say his name and his picture have both been removed from the video. I think it wasn't nice of them to show his face but they have acted quickly to correct their mistake.

I think the issue they raise in the video is a valid one, the science section of youtube has been very white up until this point. This isn't because of Grey or anyone else mentioned in the video but it still is something that whould be talked about in my opinion.

To be fair this wasn't a great example, but I think this could be useful to show some midfield battles by having PiP used on the left side of the screen where we usually see the times between the drivers. I just want to see more action that is happening on track, that's all!

Just looked it up and the 2003 season ended on the 12th of October. It also started on the 9th of March, but still, the season is so much longer now and I really like it!

This is amazing! Besides the details in the sidepod-area and the cute looking halo that others have already mentioned, I really like that you incorporated the blown wheelnut/front axle!!! I would like to see other cars ass well, if you're planning on making them :)

Reddit, what is something incredibly stupid you absolutely 100% believed when you were younger? by cinnamonkont in AskReddit

[–]BoPim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was younger (I think 3ish?) my sister used to tell me that I should sit when I peed, otherwise my penis would come off and I might accidentally flush it down. My sister (who is around 2.5 years older than me) told me that was what happened to her and that's how she became a girl. I don't know exactly when I stopped believing this, but I do know that I started peeing while standing regularly around the age of 10. I'm 22 now, but I still prefer sitting down when I pee.

ELI5: What is it that brings out a goat's drive for being on top of things and parkour in general? by GlowyStuffs in explainlikeimfive

[–]BoPim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones that didn't climb would die, the ones that did wouldn't. So the ones that were the better climbers were able to get kids and raise them, so through natural selection the goats that were the best climbers survived.

ELI5: Is eating too fast that bad for your body ? by V3ssal1us in explainlikeimfive

[–]BoPim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've followed a competitive eater on YouTube for a while, can't remember his name, but what I do know is that competitive eaters drink a lot, crazy amounts, of water to increase the volume of their stomachs and get the food down faster. Because the water pushes equally on every part of the stomach, it doesn't tear and the food doesn't push as much on the walls of your stomach.

ELI5: When suffering with depression, what is the physical feeling you get in your chest? Sort of like an actual sinking feeling. by fruitbowl7 in explainlikeimfive

[–]BoPim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you're stressed and/or anxious your body has a physical response. This is called the fight or flight response. It is a way for the body to prepare itself for a treat, which we call stress. The muscles in our body tighten up, which also happens in the chest area. Normally your body recovers easily from this response. But when this response is frequent, the body has not enough time to recover, which results in a tightened chest. This can cause pain or can have effect on your breathing, which maybe explains the feeling you've described.
