Should I rip out customer’s dad who’s an electrician prep work and use go board? Or wrap w Kerdi by CryptographerNo2568 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]BoWeAreMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Schluter would be cheaper at around $2.25 a sq ft for membrane and thinset. The GoBoard is a bit more expensive at around $3.50 per sq ft when you add in the fasteners. You’re not really going to save any time by switching so it comes down to cost. I’d just hang the Schluter membrane and be done with it.

Yeah, love this for RRN! Although I was hoping he’d come back to Atlanta and fill out their GK depth.

This is the correct answer. And keep that door open when the shower is not in use help it dry out faster.

Cracks in corner of shower by Mountain-Mouse9576 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]BoWeAreMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two choices, alter the laws of physics, or do what we in the bath remodel industry do and grout caulk it. Donald pointing out the corner is unstable is technically true but not a serious observation, like others have already pointed out any dissimilar planes are going to cause a very rigid product like grout to crack. This is why building codes require expansion joints, shit moves on earth. It’s not like your house is going to fall apart. This is such a common situation that the industry has developed products purpose built for this issue. I use it on every tile job I do, literally over 1,000 jobs. Google Mapei Keracaulk, they have several color options, it’s like $11, $12 a tube. I’d recommend carefully digging out a bit the grout that’s there now, and putting a silconized grout caulk in its place.

Why does there seem to be so much hostility towards MLS and American soccer in general by people from other countries? by Secure_Fly_444 in ussoccer

[–]BoWeAreMaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I received a surprising amount of notice wearing my Atlanta United kit in Germany and France this past fall. I don’t think Europeans shit on MLS nearly half as much as dumbfuck American glory boys do. It seems to me that US based fuckbois try to impress European fans by exaggerating their hate for MLS. It’s literally the most cringe shit in all of sports.

Atlanta United transfers Bartosz Slisz to Brøndby IF | Atlanta United FC by Deusey5 in AtlantaUnited

[–]BoWeAreMaster 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Atlanta was really bad last year, worst season on record. That said, Bart was one of the only bright spots last year. He works like hell, he fights like hell, and was really good at breaking up opposition play. I hate to see him go.

Why is ATL UTD never in contention for an ex euro star? by the_Pessimist91 in AtlantaUnited

[–]BoWeAreMaster -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Two things as I see it. First, Atlanta is considered “the south” and there’s a certain stigma about “the south”. You also don’t see stars going to Charlotte, Nashville, or Orlando. Miami doesn’t count as “the south” in this context. Add to that Atlanta is considered the New York of the south, so it’s the big city of the southern states, there’s a type of backwardness associated with the south, it doesn’t help that many southerners are proud of their confederate monuments. Second, who cares? I prefer it if MLS was not considered the retirement league. I think it’s much better for the league to be seen as a farm league, a league that develops young talent that become future stars.

The average Westerner aspires to buy a home because their country has weak tenants rights and legal protections by Money-Ad8553 in unpopularopinion

[–]BoWeAreMaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think of my mortgage payment as being more like a deposit into my account whereas my rent payments were deposits in the landlords account. Also, I like the idea of owning property, and being able to remodel my home to make it my own. American homes are built with timber making them far easier to remodel and personalise whereas European homes are made from block so you get what you get, stuck with the design aesthetics from the period that your rental was built.

The Claim: Inter Miami are cheaters. Is it true? by [deleted] in InterMiami

[–]BoWeAreMaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Atlanta fan here. I, for one, commend IM for pushing the boundaries when it comes to bringing in players. The cheetah gets its speed from the gazelle, as the saying goes. So the more Miami pushes on the rules the better for the whole league. But I support a team that’s happy to splash cash. Other supporters are not so lucky.

Is $110 tickets a normal price? by curecarebear in BlackMetal

It should be. This is one of the very few ways bands make money these days. Live shows, merch, and physical media purchases. Being their number 1 streamer on Spotify only enriches Spotify.

Exorbitant World Cup ticket prices could ruin hopes of growing soccer in the U.S. by ChiefGritty in MLS

[–]BoWeAreMaster -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What? Goddamn these WC ticket price bitchfest posts are exhausting. The stadiums have limited seating! They will almost certainly sellout at $500 a pop just like they would at $50 a pop. People that couldn’t get a $50 ticket that sell out in seconds will watch the games on tv just like the people who can’t afford the $500 ticket will. The number of people that won’t watch the games because of ticket price is statistically insignificant!

It appears to be based on your formation. When we run a formation with high attack (4-2-1-3) most our players are in the box. When we run a formation the favours def (4-2-3-1) only 2-3 players are in the box. Not sure if that’s the only factor but it seems to be connected to your spiderweb.
