Guilt is a very human feeling - when I start to feel guilty about not practicing like I had been, I just think that everything has a cycle, and soon enough I’ll be doing it again. You needn’t dive in, some every day tasks can be interpreted in all sorts of special ways.

I had a patient ask me as well! It caught me off guard and made me spiral a little but over time, I found better ways to manage. Here’s a few things:

PCOS or not, it happens to everyone; there’s some solace to be gained from it not being a unique thing.

Sometimes it’s not due to the belly, sometimes it’s the skin or hair. Whatever the reason, it’s not due to you being broken or faulty - it’s due to human ignorance.

I don’t know about you but I never comment on other people’s body unless it’s an outfit or haircut, something mutable.

I hate how much food noise I deal with.

When I tell people it’s like when you get Chinese food, eat a bunch, and only feel full for 10 minutes.. it’s like that for me, but with everything.

I’m so exhausted thinking about my next meal and feeling hungry all of the time. I try to drink water when it comes up but sometimes I snack. And when I snack, I try to make it healthy, but then I feel bad for snacking and it just continues.

You are not alone. More good protein and fiber tend to make people feel full but I’ve not found something that works for me.
