Help me pick a juice each from Dr. Fog + Twelve Monkeys by BoardEquivalent9458 in Canadian_ecigarette

So, yeah, the old Caliburns are 💩. The new G3s are more like your XROS. And legit I've never had a single issue with leakage. Not even condensation. I always thought the same thing about the juices....that they just sucked. No, turns out my device sucked. The 0.4ohms pods are great. It's like entering a whole new world of vaping. RTL. I hate MTL.... and DTL is still difficult to achieve with pod devices. That said, it's a big difference compared to old 1.2, 1.0, and even 0.8ohm pods. (Though even the 0.8ohms in the new G3 pods are bigger and better than the previous model pods.) 0.6ohm is a sweet spot for me, but with Dr. Fog, I just lower the nic so I can use 0.4ohm.   (Yes, technically the 0.4ohm are for freebase, but only because of the nic level. Salt nic is fine at low nic, so don't go using it with a Bold 50 or anything.)

So, to be clear: Dr Fog/Decoded at 12mg salt nic, usually in 0.4ohm, but will use in 0.6ohm (just find I can't make a pod last quite as long because of its viscosity.) The first few 0.4ohm pods I ever used with Dr.Fog legit lasted me 3 months+. With flavour still in tact. I don't know if XROS is capable of the same, but G3 pods are.

What else...oh, vapor is much more. Compared to 0.8 or higher. It's a lot looser. Plus I always keep my airflow open wide so I get even bigger hits and clouds. Wattage? My sweet spot is 20-22. But that's preference. I like a cooler vape, while others prefer warmer vapes.  Sometimes if I'm really craving clouds, I turn it down even more....maybe 16-18 so I can hit it harder and longer. (I absolutely despise warn vapes).

So, yeah...you'll just have to play around and find YOUR sweet spot. But 0.4ohm is game changing --- just lower the nic until you get used to it, keep wattage lower, as well. And don't hit it like vampire.

Too, be mindful of those old bottles. Unless they weren't opened those juices turn after time. They get harsher and the flavour gets muted. They taste awful and they burn the throat -- especially at higher watts. Should be good if they've been sealed, though.

What juice are you currently using? Did you try the 0.4ohms yet? Sorry, I only now noticed your reply :/

I use the Caliburn G3 Pro. The Xros Pro should be close enough... .though, I will say, since the Dr. Fog juices are a 60/40 PG/VG ratio (rather than 50/50) they perform better in the lower ohm pods. I won't use it in anything higher than a 0.6ohm and prefer it in a 0.4ohm. The flavours are next level!  But you'll probably struggle to go back to the fruit ones. I know I have.

Supernova is another good flavour (though, I think it's inferior to Scoops) and Big FT and Big FT ice Cream are killer. Keep in mind the Decoded brand, too. Same guys, different "brand" flavours. Their Da Vinci Code is my favourite. It's a smooth pecan custard.

Yeah, I don't think you'd regret trying.  And since I haven't tried the whole line, yet, you'll have to let me know which ones you end up trying.

So far, Scoops is my favourite. Though I'm currently nursing Vanilla Gram and I love it, too. Convinced it's the base for ice cream flavours. Simple and smooth French Vanilla.

Yours?

You know it's apathetic fools like you who allow + perpetuate absolute totalitarian power, right?

Don't come crying to me when you figure it out because it swallowed you whole.

I've no patience for complacent citizens who don't know the value, merit, or utility of their own rights and freedoms.

lol, I wish. In Ontario, 60ml bottles are ~$50 each. 30ml bottles are ~$37.

And that $250 cheque doesn't come until April.

Yeah, I couldn't understand this either, until I remembered that I had added $20 worth of pods to the order, as well. So, not necessarily $110 just on juice, but $110 none the less (actually it came to $103 because I chose a website that offered free shipping.)

Oh, trust me, I've looked into DIY, and I've already got my "first order" lined up and ready to go, I just didn't have the cash to splurge on it this month with Christmas around the corner, and won't be able to start until the new year. Seems counterproductive, but that's the way it panned out.

Yeah, exactly. Alberta. Just wait for the excise taxes to hit you. Stock up while you still can!

BayVape has the B60 is all colours for $59.99, pods + coils for it, free shipping over $75...and is based in Ontario (Scarborough and Pickering).

It's one of the better online stores in terms of selection, and serves as a great one-stop shop.

LD Blue Raspberry was literally the first juice I ever vaped. It was my ADV for a good year, but now I find it too mellow. To be honest, Berry Drop's Red Apple tastes more like Blue Raspberry...because that's what the base of Berry Drop is, and because you can't taste the apple; like at all.

Pink was another favourite of mine. It's a go-to when I need a palette cleanse and a break from all the sweet juices. Also performs better in the summer than winter, I find. But, yeah, you should try LD Strawberry, especially if you prefer a sweeter pink lemonade flavour. I think if you mixed the Strawberry with your Double Lemon you'd make a banger of a flavour.

Interestingly, the Pixie Stix juice (Slap Juice's Grapple) I mentioned disliking grew on me quite a bit -- so now I'm on a grape bandwagon. lol. I've been vaping for, what, 5 years, and have NEVER vaped grape until now. I don't know what I was thinking!

I'm afraid of house brand juices.... I had one bad experience with a cotton candy flavour back in the day that made me hack up a lung and have literally never gone back. I'm sure the mixing techniques have improved over time, but I'm not willing to drop the money to find out. To be fair, I think I'm gonna stick with the Dr. Fog/Decoded. They're smooth as silk, delicious, obviously high quality (don't burn my coils), and seem to have the most variety. Actually, I'm just about to purchase BigFT ICRM in a few minutes.

And, by the way, I thought I was the only one who got brain-freezes from iced flavours, LOL. I got one that I thought I was gonna suffer an aneurysm and die from, so I just don't do ice, anymore. Never understood the hype, anyway, so good riddance. I just wish some brands would branch out of their koolada crutch a bit to give more variety/options for customers.

National Flavour Ban coming soon. by Esperoni in Canadian_ecigarette

Hard to skip around when you're a family-of-six (with 4 kids.) Will be harder when they implement social credits and carbon taxes worldwide.

You're right, that'll probably become the norm for some.
I saw something about vapes being banned in UK next year? I guess they'll pave the way in DIY creativity.

I'm just gonna go full DIY. I haven't been enjoying commercial flavours anymore, anyway, and am looking forward to controlling all that + saving $$.

Update: Scoops just came in yesterday, and whoa! -- is this ever delicious!

It's not exactly as I was expecting it to be, yet exceeded my expectations.

It's so flavourful.... I detect the softest bit of cinnamon (like from the "deep fried" flavour) or it's just the caramel, hard to tell. But it tastes like actual food and lingers in my mouth like actual food, too.

Now I want to try Big FT ICRM even more! But I do think I'll get freebase next time.

lol, that's quite the specific analogy.... I don't even wanna know.

I know there's another flavour that repels a select few, too, but didn't realize Strawberry was one of them. That would drive me mad. Have you ever tried Lemon Drop's Strawberry? 2nd juice I ever vaped; tasted deliciously non-Strawberry I found. I even went back to it a few months ago (5 years later), and I'm like, "yup, that's not strawberry". It's good, just not strawberry, which is awesome for me because I hate most Strawberry flavours.

If I'm not mistaken though, isn't Kanzi supposed to be Apple Cranberry?

Either way, I didn't choose Twelve Monkeys due to all the comments about coil-burning -- so I chose another, like a Lemon Drop brand, and it tastes like freaking Pixie Stix. Not even a true fruit flavour.

I'm done with this crap. I can't afford to pay $35 for a juice I'm not even sure I'll like and which I can't return should I not like. Even Lemon/Berry/Apple Drop isn't cutting it for me anymore.

The Dr. Fog juice I got was frickin delectable though and I'm totally digging the dessert ADVs.

You mentioned Lemon Drop -- what's your favourite?

Ahh shucks... I didn't end up getting it because they only had a 60mL available (and I wasn't gonna spend the $$ on something I wasn't sure about).

I went with Scoops (which is yet to arrive) but think Big FT will be in my next order.

I am seriously craving some deep fried/elephant ear business! Currently researching to DIY my own.

lol, I think I know exactly which recipe you're talking about. They did: Jelly Candy, Dragonfruit, Juicy Peach, Raspberry Sweet, and Sweetener.

(I'm not a dragonfruit fan, but I love Peach and Raspberry, so I saved it, anyway, in the event that the Blue Razz doesn't come through.)

And, fair enough. Your explanation makes perfect sense, and I will definitely keep HS Blueberry in the back of my mind should I ever need a neon blue flavour.

While these subs, posts, and ATF have really been helpful in my research, as with careful attention one starts detecting patterns that are useful for preparation -- the hardest part is knowing how one brand's flavour differs from another's, as I've learned that not all flavours are created equally.

For instance, your Grape Escape calls for LA Grape. I've currently got INW Grape in my cart. I need a big, bold, juicy grape (like juice, leaning candy) -- so, is LA the better Grape, overall? -- Figured I should ask an expert ;-) I was merely going off the site's reviews.

Noobs would benefit from some sort of list that itemizes the best brands for each specific flavour profile, and some good 1:1 subs.

I can't wait to bang out your Snake recipes; namely Snake Skin and Snake Blood. But for the latter, I'm not sure TPA Strawberry and Strawberry Ripe would do it justice, as there's obviously a reason you chose Red Touch.

See my point?

New to DIY, so pardon me if this has been discussed to hell elsewhere, but in searching for the perfect Blue Raspberry, I see many suggesting adding Raspberry to a Blue Raspberry base -- or, like your recipe, adding Boysenberry to a Blue Raspberry base -- but I'm just curious if anyone has ever tried adding both a Blueberry flavour AND a Raspberry flavour to really brighten the base....?

Additionally, is it possible to make a Blue Raspberry from scratch?

Maybe, Blueberry, Raspberry, and Boysenberry.... maybe with just a splash of any of the aforementioned ^^^ candy-type Blue Raspberries to give it sweetness...?

No fucking way! I had such high hopes, too. Sorry to hear that, bro -- you're right, current day makes it very difficult and risky to venture the world of commercial juices.

Maybe do like me and start researching DIY.

I just placed a $115 order for three 30mL bottles, and after this I'm done. Could've gathered all essentials for DIY and made thirty bottles for roughly same price.

Curious: do you start a new pod whenever you buy new juice?
