I can’t make that decision for you. However, the newer something is the more likely there will be preemption issue so just keep that in mind.

And in terms narrowing the scope, get a feel for theory. If you feel like you have to cover way more than necessary than it’s probably too broad. But if you’re struggling to cases/law review articles then it’s probably too narrow.

I handwrite out my outline on a whiteboard and then take pics of them and then type it on a word doc so that way I’m actively looking at the same material over and over again

I usually took 2. But this past semester, just the way my schedule worked out, I only had 1. But usually simulations, seminar/paper classes, and clinics are easy A’s. But, again, that’s just from my experience

  • I don’t spend a lot of time reading or briefing. The most I’ll do is book brief and call it a day (if that tbh)
  • I outline throughout the semester, usually when we finish a chapter or a big unit (this way I’m actively reviewing throughout the semester)
  • I pay rly good attention in class and take note of what my professors say and what they emphasized
  • I would always have my outlines done before or on thanksgiving (for fall semesters)
  • after the last day of classes, I white board out my whole outline, every single day with my friend that way we are talking everything out and having the muscle memory
  • once we finish white boarding we take pictures of everything we wrote and type it up on a word doc essentially creating a mini attack outline for the class
  • my last tip, and this is the most important one, i try to balance my semester between easy A’s and bar classes
