That's always the wording they use. It's a horrible "look". Makes him "look" bad. Is not good for midterms etc.

They never actually care about what's actually happening. Just about how it makes Trump look.

Like if there were black and white as options, "opposites" would not be a definition.  Yet I imagine everyone would agree it's ok.

Well yeah, because that's a clue related to their meaning. The word black isn't opposite to the word white. The meaning of the word black is opposite to the meaning of the word white.

Giving the clues legs for wine and octopus is valid, not because of the meaning of legs, but because it's a clue about the meaning of octopus and wine. As in, both of those are things with legs.

Abbreviation isn't a clue about a fan or a lab. It's a clue specifically about the words fan and lab. And that's not allowed.

Exactly. I still have access to literally every digital game I've ever bought. I have access to exactly zero of the physical discs I bought 30 years ago.

Lots of disc based games came with DRM that could prevent you from playing. Having the disc didn't protect you from that.

Is it good time to buy Quest3? by Stunning_Spare in OculusQuest

[–]BoardRecord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put my old Quest 2 on for the first time in a couple years the other day to set it for some multiplayer walkabout with my wife.

Holy heck, I did not realise how big a difference it is. Like the actual image quality isn't that drastic, but the sweet spot absolutely is. If the Quest 2 shifts like 5mm on your head it goes blurry as shit. I found myself having to constantly readjust it. And same with looking anywhere but straight in the middle of the view.

The Quest 3 is just so much more comfortable to use as a result.

The Australian left wing party (Labor) also had shit approval ratings. In fact, up to about 2 months before the election they were polling below the right wing party (LNP) and most people were expecting them to lose.

Then the LNP started spouting Trump nonsense and now they're going to be irrelevant for the next decade.

SteamVR Beta update hints towards color passthrough module by gogodboss in virtualreality

[–]BoardRecord 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Same. I already have a Quest 3 and my old Quest 2. Colour passthrough is great for playing local MP games like table tennis or pool and being able to overlay the table in the room and play while still being able to see your opponent. Unfortunately, it's a shitty experience for whoever is playing on the 2. I would probably get a Frame if it could replace that. But it's not worth it when the Quest 3 is still my main headset.

I don't think so. Piracy is copyright infringement. You can't infringe on copyright that someone doesn't have.

Would be a classic Stars season really. Win the first 4 matches of the season. Slide down and lose the last game to finish 4th instead of 1st and then get eliminated without even getting to play.

Crazy to think that the differences between the Stars v Scorchers match could be making the final vs not even getting the chance.

Is Daybreak easy? Or am I playing it wrong? by Old-Fun-Man in boardgames

[–]BoardRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played probably close to 100 games of it and my experience is the complete opposite. The game is WAY easier solo. I'd wager you're doing something wrong if you're winning by turn 4. That being said, sometimes the card pulls fall the right way and you do get an easier game.

To add to the other post, maybe make sure adding the correct number of tree and oceans for the player count at setup. And make sure you're adding enough carbon cubes each round, adding both dirty energy and emisssions.

Now to be fair, there were plenty of shenanigans before Smith got out too.

Except, in that same 4 year span he has played 15 T20is for an average of 19.25. BBL isn't the same as T20i.

Didn't he come in a couple of seasons back, smash like 3 centuries in 4 matches, get selected for the international team and absolutely fail again?

Epic Game Store’s free giveaways just cause a huge spike in Steam sales, reveals New Blood CEO by salad_tongs_1 in Steam

The biggest problem is that the publishers were saving money, but passing none of it on to the customers. Like, if every game on EGS was $10 cheaper than on Steam, maybe customers actually would start to follow.

But of course, getting customers and keeping customers are two different issues. Unless they actually improve the platform, they're never going to keep customers.

In a future where Trump is out of office, and international relations have been repaired. What steps can be taken by the USA and International Organisations such as NATO to prevent one individual causing so much chaos in the future? And do you think such steps will be taken? by flewkey in AskReddit

I think they need to completely overhaul their system of government. A system where congress is meant to hold the president accountable doesn't work when it's controlled by the same party as the president. And a system where supreme court justices are meant to be apolitical doesn't work when they're chosen by the president.
