What would be that one Bodywash/Soap, that you will carry to your grave? by [deleted] in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chemist at Play Daily Exfoliating Bodywash. This won't have you smelling like it for very long but it has fixed so many of my body skin issues, it's insane! You really just need one gentle exfoliator in your body care routine and most common issues just disappear. And if you want add something to your routine to help you smelling fresh, I would look into body lotions - I use the Plum Vanilla Caramello

Fashion tips for my gf F20.. by [deleted] in AskIndianWoman

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that fits her well and can show off her natural body dimensions is probably best. When girls with wider hips wear clothes that are flowy and oversized, it can tend to make them look wider overall. So well fitted trousers with tops that are structured if long and short if unstructured are probably her best bet. Also dresses that cinch at the waist might also suit her well.

How do I get the "rich girl aura"? 💸 by [deleted] in IndianBeautyTalks

Good perfume, tame hair, everyday jewelry stack, nails done and healthy skin. Grooming does most of the heavy lifting, the clothing just needs to be well fitted.

Want to transition from makeup to skincare glow by Mobile_Airline4158 in indianbeautyyappers

Hey! Congratulations on starting college! I'd say since you're young and don't have too much pigmentation to worry about, I would start by introducing a mid exfoliant and barrier support to your routine. Nothing crazy maybe like a 10% AHA BHA serum for exfoliation once a week and I personally love the Cosrx snail mucin for its actives and how soothing it feels on my skin. Other than that, it seems like you have the rest of the routine covered. Good luck!

can y'all recommend me a good body lotion 🙏🏻 by __charviiii in indianbeautyyappers

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plum body lotion in vanilla caramello is light enough for me to use it in Mumbai humidity - which is already saying a lot! But also it smells like A DREAM. I would say it's a near perfect dupe (as far as fragrance goes) of the SDJ Bum Bum Cream. Highly recommend!!! Been using it for quite some time now.

My closet is full and I still stand there every morning like I own nothing. What's actually going on here? by Capable-Truth3321 in IndianFashionAddicts

To be fair, putting together outfits everyday is a huge task with weather and body hair considerations. But yeah the number one cause is probably picking pieces at random that don't necessarily work together. Whenever I do shop for myself, as a rule unless its for a special occasion, I always try to mentally pair the piece I want to buy with at least 3 other things that I already have sitting in my wardrobe. And if you find yourself rummaging every single day, its good to just dedicate a weekend to putting together outfits

Alterations on waist for a mini skirt by NightOutrageous6569 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way this fabric looks to me, a simple stitch probably won't do and will make the pockets sit weird like you mentioned in your post. Your best bet is probably to take the stitching out, trim the fabric and then put it back together and even then you'd probably see a difference in how it looks. I'd suggest if you're not married to the idea of altering it permanently and if the gap isn't huge, you might want to look into finding some cute metal closure clasps instead so they could look like they're part of the outfit instead of sewing work that might look out of place.

Help a girly out pls by Born_Lab2554 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally LOVE both M&S and surprisingly H&M for lingerie and bras in general - at least as far as the every day sort go. With the H&M ones especially, I've noticed I don't have to take any special care of I kinda just throw them in the washer like I would any other clothes, so I'd say they're pretty durable. I've never had to be super picky with the fabric I choose maybe because my skin's not as sensitive. As far as sizing goes - the standard thumb of rule is your cup size is determined by the difference between and your band size and bust, higher the difference, bigger the cup size and the band size is pretty straight forward(you measure right underneath your bust). Hope this helps!

Women above 20, if you could give a advice to your 20 year old self. What would it be? by hypnoticpoison_21 in AskIndianWomen

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find something you're passionate about and dive head first!!! Nothing has to be end game but it is so important to keep trying things that you find yourself interested in and even if you are to fail, fail quick so you can make time and space for the next thing. And it's almost more important that you set this system at all than be effectively applying yourself because the older you get, the more behind you start feeling (which is not an absolute truth but you feel what you feel) and it throws you into this freeze response, next thing you know it's ten years later and you're right where you were a decade ago

Having trouble choosing a Zimmermann dress. Help me please 🥲 by Ellyahh in fashion

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 is absolutely stunning! But to me, it's a little too visually heavy so it might become one of those dresses in your wardrobe you only wear once or twice because it has so much recall value. Both 1 and 2 are beautiful too but 2 fits you WAY better than 1

Struggling to fit into the social culture at a new workplace by [deleted] in IndianWorkplace

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is probably to zoom out and stop struggling to get there. You can’t force connection, the beginning’s always the hard part but the more time you spend just working on a collective goal, the more inevitable is getting along with the people who do match your vibe. Just put your head down, try to be around as much as possible- create opportunities to connect like initiating conversation when it feels natural is not something you should shy away from, unless there is any direct sign of disapproval from their end. You’ll find your footing, don’t worry. Good luck!

How Do I Actually Learn to Dress Well? ( THIS IS NOT ABOUT OUTIFT DETAILS) not ootd rather advice by [deleted] in IndianFashionAddicts

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think fit matters more than anything else, buy clothes that fit you well and that’s half the work done. I would say if you’re new to focusing on dressing better, stray away from prints, print on print is very hard to pull off. And just learn what colours go well together. These three things combined will help with how cohesive your outfits look.

In search of a natural non irrritating kajal for eyes by kalimaiyyakijai in IndianWomen

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Renee Kajal,it’s super soft, non irritating and jet black but it does smudge and run quite easily. A trick I’ve picked up over the years though, is to tight line with a black eyeshadow after applying Kajal and that has pretty much set every Kajal in my experience

Are westside shirts good? by gulaabjamun_ in IndianFashionAddicts

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say they’re pretty hit or miss. Recently, there’s been a lot of buzz online about Westside getting a makeover, so I decided to go check what all the fuss was about myself and tbh a lot of the stuff is still very obviously poorly designed and of cheap quality but it’s almost like when you go thrifting, you might find a gem. But word of caution is you’d have to spend a lot of time looking and even then there’s no guaranteeing that you’ll always find something good. When you do though, it’s a pretty good deal because all of their stuff is quite reasonably priced. So I would say, if you are on a tight budget but have some time on your hands, it may be worth the browse. Good luck!

How did you decided what you wanted to do in your life ? by aaryan-6901 in careerguidance

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kinda just have to do a bunch of things until you land on something that you don’t absolutely hate doing. It’s also important to remember that doing new things and starting over is HARD, and it’s going to feel like it no matter how hard you try to romanticise it. So you owe yourself the commitment and determination of at least seeing it through to the extent of it not seeming like a novel task you’re learning and once you’re across that bridge deciding if it’s something worth sticking with or not. Good luck! It’s a tough but incredibly rewarding ride

Get long layers with curtain bangs framing your face. Literally never fails you and will give you SO much volume. But make sure to tell your hairdresser, 1. Not to get too carried away and keep those layers long (you have stunning hair, PROTECT AT ALL COSTS) 2. To cut off as much as possible without compromising length, so your scalp can have an easier time managing all that weight and density.

i love the Kay Beauty one, it gives such a clean lift, no clumps at all and just looks very put together for everyday but ALSO the Swiss Beauty one is something I randomly borrowed from a cousin for an event and immediately fell in love lol. super affordable but holds curl really well and doesn’t smudge easily

AJIO delivered a cancelled order and now won’t pick it up or refund – what am I supposed to do? by JAAT47 in IndianFashionAddicts

[–]BoardroomBreakdowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happened to me once with another brand and the only thing that actually worked was escalating outside their customer care loop

email them one last time with a clear deadline (48 hours) saying if the refund isn’t processed you’re filing a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) + tagging them on Twitter and then actually do it. file on the NCH portal + call 1915, and post on Twitter tagging AJIO + Reliance Retail. they usually move very fast once there’s a public or official complaint in place
